Stick to that Weekly Menu Plan as you head into the holiday season!
It’s almost here! Just a week away from Christmas.
Do you have any last minute shopping to do? We give the older kids money, so I don’t have any last minute shopping, but I am trying to come up with some creative ways to ‘give money’.
Does that make sense? I am 100% sure they really don’t care how I give it to them, but I just want to make it a little more fun.
Maybe I should send them on a scavenger hunt? That’s a thought, right? Unless it’s below freezing outside.
We’ll see though, it may be fun! I’m trying to get as much done as possible this week before the kids are out. I’m really trying hard to be able to set work aside while the kids are off on their break.
Of course, that’s a bit difficult when you work from home, but if nothing else, I’m planning to move most of my work related tasks until they are in bed. That leaves me with figuring out what we are going to do during the day though.
I am looking forward to the fact this year my husband will be home some, it breaks up the week so that it isn’t just me so much. I am ready for some down time though and a break from homework!
When we get into 2nd semester at our kids’ school, all the schoolwork seems to get harder. They tend to do more work from the grade ahead to get them ready for the next year, so it’s a challenge. Plus on top of that we will be full steam ahead into basketball season.
This break is just what we need to get ready for all that awaits us after Christmas. I feel like though after Christmas time just goes so fast again and next thing we know, it’s spring!
We are counting down though for our big Disney trip this year though…the kids are probably more excited for spring than Christmas!
Enough about that though, let’s get to the menu!
