A few week’s back I challenged each of you to join me on with the MapMyFitness Challenge.
Over the past few week’s since the challenge, I have come to a few revelations. One of them being I am not good at keeping track of anything especially my fitness, although I need to be. This has now moved up to be one of my top goals.
I also need to come to realistic terms and join a gym with childcare as it is very hard for me to give up my work time to go to the gym. The next thing to go is my gym membership, which I hope to replace with a gym membership that offers activities for kids.
A success I did find is to limit myself on the days that my son is here from the TV and computer, this way he is staying active and so am I. Whether it is walks around the block, trips to the park, or dance parties in the living room both of us are able to be active together.
The best way for me to stay fit over this challenge has been to take 15 minutes each day devoted to my son and I and both do something active together. In the past few week’s the weather has been beyond nice so going outside and to the park have been a great way to stay active. On days when we are inside, we love turning on music and making up silly dance moves!
How are you doing with your challenge? Are you staying on track? What are you learning and finding out? Were your goals realistic?
