It’s time to enjoy some fall produce the right way with this Turkey & Veggie Sauté plus enter to win a great giveaway! I’m writing this post in partnership with Purely Essential Fruit & Vegetable Wash; however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Turkey & Veggie Saute

Lately, my husband and I have done a bit of an overhaul over our dinner recipes introducing a lot of fresh veggies into our meals.  Now, I will say our kids have been on the fence with all these veggies on their plate, but they are starting to warm up to trying new things.  We’ve found my daughter LOVES green veggies, absolutely loves them.

She will gladly eat Kale, Broccoli, and Okra, but frowns on Sweet Potatoes and is a bit on the fence with Butternut Squash.  My husband, son, and I though are loving the Butternut Squash and we’ve been eating A LOT of it lately!  This past week though I decided to make this Turkey & Veggie Sauté with fresh veggies and ground turkey.  This time I used Purely Essential Fruit & Vegetable Wash though to clean our produce.  Has anyone noticed just how dirty produce can be?  Here is the thing, we NEED to wash the produce.  Do you know what has been sprayed on them?  Most of us probably don’t know, even when buying organic, they still need to be cleaned after many hands have likely touched them.

The only product I have truly found to be simple to use and only take seconds is Purely Essential, the spray and foamer tend to be my favorites.  This spray removes 400% more of the chemicals and waxes, in comparison to water!  There is no after taste or residue, it’s simple to use and clean.  We wash our hands with soap, right?  So it only makes sense that we should be using something stronger than water but safe too on our veggies.  The product comes in a liquid, foam, spray, or even wipes.  It’s actually a owned and created by a mom that is very passionate about reducing toxins that are on our food and in the environment.

The great part is that Purely Essentials wants you to get some FREE samples!  All you need to do is email,, and mention code MHC2016!  Then, you will get some great samples.

Turkey & Veggie Sauté

Yield: 4+

  • 1 Lb Ground Turkey
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Tsp Dried Rosemary
  • 1 Clove Garlic, Crushed
  • 4 Cups Butternut Squash, Cubed
  • 1 Bunch Kale, Cut into Small Pieces
  • 1 Medium Zucchini, Sliced
  • 1/4 Cup Sweet Onion, Diced

  1. In a medium sized skillet, brown the ground turkey and drain.
  2. In a cast-iron skillet, add in the olive oil, rosemary, and garlic, warm it up.
  3. Add in the squash, kale, zucchini, and onion.
  4. Let this simmer and cook for about 10 minutes until soft.
  5. Add in the ground turkey.
  6. Mix to combine with the veggies and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
  7. Serve.

I easily cleaned off my veggies like the Kale with the Purely Essentials, then I was able to whip up this tasty dish for dinner.  My husband gave me the ‘vegetables, again?’ look, but then he was quickly impressed with just how delicious this dish was.  I used some fresh garlic and rosemary to add a little flavor paired with veggies, it was the perfect match!

Not only am I sharing this dish, but now you can win your own set of Purely Essential Fruit & Vegetable Wash!

The foam or spray sound like the best option for our household. This recipe looks delicious, too! I can’t wait to try it!
