At this point, you all are preparing for Thanksgiving Day and that wonderful food; however, shortly after enjoying that food it will be time to figure out what to do with all those leftovers!
I know for my family we always look for ways to enjoy the leftovers without feeling as if we have eaten the same meal for a week. As I thought about what we typically have leftover for Thanksgiving it lead me to making these Turkey Cranberry Sandwiches with Wonder bread!
Now, I have heard along with the rest of the country that Hostess including Wonder Bread is closing, brings tears to my eyes for a variety of reasons! I sure hope though that in the end the company is revived somehow!
For this recipe, I tried out the 100% Whole Wheat for my family, then I opted for some gluten free bread for myself. There are so many great aspects of this bread including that it is free of artificial colors, preservatives, and flavors along with containing 25% less sodium than most wheat breads! Then, the best part it has zero trans fats! That makes this a healthy choice for my family.
My husband loved it so much he had to have another. He could not believe how tasty the sandwich was!
I love that this sandwich can be adapted to fit any leftovers that you may have on hand. I think even adding stuffing to it would taste fabulous too!
These sandwiches are quick and easy to make just piling on the leftovers. I used cranberry sauce, turkey, cheese, butter, and then my Panini Press to make these!
Making them kid friendly was simple by just cutting them in bite sizes, the kids enjoyed them even more so than the plain turkey!

Of course along with making these delicious leftovers into new meals I also enjoy Thanksgiving and the family traditions! We typically celebrate as a family of course then we have a game night too! It makes things much more enjoyable plus the focus is on spending time together, many times it’s one of the few times during the year the entire family is in one place!
