{5 Ways to Save at Whole Foods Stores}
*The following is a part of the store coupon policy for Tulsa and Oklahoma City, if you live outside of those areas, please verify with your stores first.*
1. Insane Sales: Every week thousands of items go on sale at Whole Foods. Plan your menu around those sales items and you’ll save a bundle. Our local stores offer ‘Double Flyer Wednesday’ which means both last week’s sales flyer and this week’s sales flyer are good on the same day, Wednesday. Double the savings!
2. Store Coupons: Whole Foods offers The Whole Deal Newsletter which is packed full of coupons and found both online and at the front of the store. Our local stores allow us to ‘stack’ the Whole Foods store coupons with manufacturers coupons too.
3. Buy in Bulk: Whole Foods offers a case discount of 10%. If you buy a case of any product in the store, you’ll get that discount automatically. To buy a case, simply look at the number on the price tag in front of the product. It usually will say 6, 12 or 24. When you buy that amount of product, you’ll get the discount. Combine the case discount with sales and coupons and you will have a steal of a deal!
4. The 365 Everyday Brand: This is the store brand for Whole Foods and not only is it lower in price but it also holds to the same quality standards as national brands. This means, it is comparable to the other brands in the store but won’t break the bank. I’ve also seen Whole Foods issue coupons for these products as well.
5. Frequent Shopper Cards: Our local Whole Foods stores offer frequent shopper cards on coffee, bread and vitamins. These can be found at customer service or a cash register. For example, when you buy 5 Whole Foods Market brand breads, you’ll get a 6th for free. Not a bad deal but you must pick up the punch card to get it.
A woman told me there was no way she could ever save money at Whole Foods. Well, that is simply not the case at all. You can save money when you familiarize yourself with the store policy and the smart shopping strategies.
