It’s time to book the perfect stay at Homewood Suites. We did receive a free night in exchange for this review; however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Let me tell you, I’m picky about where we stay on trips. VERY PICKY! I actually used to bring my own sheets anytime we stayed somewhere as a kid. That’s how picky I am. That means when I travel, I do my research before I stay somewhere. I’m not just a randomly choose a room type of person. So as we headed out on our trip to Michigan a few weeks back, we decided to go with Homewood Suites as a place to stay on our travels.
As soon as we got there, we were greeted with a friendly staff and a beautiful room. We stayed in a King Suite and there was enough room for us and our kids. We even had a full kitchen too. As a family that needs to save money eating out, this was a great option for us especially if we were staying for a full week. We always try to stay in accommodations with a kitchen so that we can easily store food and make quick meals.
Of course, along with trying to be frugal a great benefit of Homewood Suites is the complimentary breakfast. They had a wonderful breakfast, we made sure that we got a good breakfast before heading back on the road in the morning. Honestly, the kitchen was so beautiful that it was served in, I could have stayed there all day. It was dreamy with lots of white, bright colors.
Of course, when we arrived our first stop was the pool and hot tub. We loved cooling off in the water and relaxing in the hot tub, then I was surprised to open the door and see a full outdoor kitchen. This kitchen is great to entertain in if you are staying long-term or even for a few days. Honestly, I didn’t even know there were hotels that had such wonderful outdoor kitchens. Then, we finished the day with a workout in the exercise room. It was equip with top of the line equipment. I felt like we didn’t even need to leave the hotel, it had everything we needed and then some!
Once we had finally worn ourselves out, my husband and I were able to get some work down using the free Wi-Fi and stretch out a bit in our spacious suite.
I’m already anxious to go back again. My parents booked a room as well and they were talking about how wonderful that hotel was the entire week. My dad kept telling me that was the nicest room he’s ever stayed in. That’s a pretty big compliment too considering just how picky we are with our hotel rooms!

We stayed at a Homewood Suites when my husband was working across country for a 90 day job. Our family of 5 lived at the hotel and we absolutely fell in love with the amenities they offer. We now stay exclusively at Homewood hotels when we can and our favorite amenity is that during the week (Monday thru Thursday) they serve a “welcome home” meal. Some of the Homewoods offer hors d’oeurves with drinks and a salad but the one we stayed at offered a whole meal with salad, entree and dessert. A one bedroom when we went Disney was only $115 — including both breakfast and dinner (with a kitchen in our room to make our own meals on the weekends). Feeding a family of 5 both breakfast and dinner out while on vacation would cost just about that, so we felt like we were getting a free room with the cost of our meals. I highly recommend Homewood Suites!
That is amazing!!! This one had the appetizers offered that we stayed in but not the whole meal. The one for Disney is AMAZING that’s quite a deal and a good idea as we are going to be going there probably in a year or two. I hadn’t even thought of that. Glad you mentioned it!
