As we head into the holidays, a great way to celebrate is with a Holiday Pizza Party that can also help you get motivated to wrap all those gifts!
There is truly only one thing I dread during the holidays and that is wrapping those gifts. It’s just not my thing, and I hate spending all that time wrapping just so it can be ripped to shreds. That means I need an extra boost of motivation! A great way for me to get past that wrapping dread is host a wrapping party complete with pizza of course. A wrapping party is a fun way to gather friends together to share time together plus knock out all of those gifts that need to be wrapped too.
I have to say after this past Black Friday, I scored so many great deals that we have plenty of items that need to be wrapped, so a wrapping party was certainly the way to do it. Is it just me or were the deals better this year? Maybe I was just ready to shop? I felt like I was shopping nonstop, of course I don’t leave my house, I do it all online! I will certainly not be standing in a line in the middle of the night for a deal…it would have to be a free trip to Hawaii for me to do that!
Now, back to this pizza party, this is such a great way to enjoy time with family and maybe even get some gifts wrapped too. All you need to do is simply pick up or make your favorite pizza.
Along, with the pizza I decided to do build your own Wedge Salads and pair a few sauces with the pizza too. Now, for dessert a classic, fudge. Fudge is definitely one of my favorites this time of year and good thing it seems to only be made around the holidays, because I can eat it by myself!
Now, a little party tip, instead of a tablecloth, use wrapping paper. I used a decorative wrapping paper, so that I can write names on the paper too, so if you prefer you can write ‘Salad Bar’, ‘Pizza Bar’, and ‘Dessert’, the sky is the limit, plus it’s easy to toss after the party. If you are sitting at the table you can even write the names of each person attending for the seating arrangement.
I went with the gold and red colors for our party, I wanted it to be somewhat neutral with hints of holiday decorations. The glitter coated pine cones worked out perfectly, plus adding a strain of lights really sets the mood and makes the table look gorgeous.
I also paired a few dips with our pizza, including my famous Dill Dip. This dip is absolutely wonderful with pizza. My kids request it on a regular basis.
Now, for the salads, I love doing a wedge salad. I use one head of lettuce and when it’s being paired with pizza, then I cut it 8 ways. I cut it first in 4 pieces, then I cut it in half again to make 8 smaller pieces. This way each guest grabs the lettuce and can top it with their favorite toppings! It’s such a fun and festive way to add a side dish to a party, plus it’s easy to eat too.
Are you ready to party? I hope this inspires you to also enjoy a wrapping party this holiday season.
Now, I’m back to wrapping more gifts and pizza.
Merry Christmas!

Every Christmas Eve we got a giant pizza with everything on it from a great but small pizzeria in town. It was a great tradition. Unfortunately it closed and we have struggled to find a place we really like. I am switching it up this year and totally doing this. Great pizza and I can build it the way I like it. Thanks.
What a fun and easy holiday party with great food! Thank you! (client)
Please invite me. One of my favorite things to eat is anything that has cheese in it. I love pizza. Sounds like a yummy party. Plus, I think I would appreciate all the great toppings on the pizza.
I currently cannot have ‘real’ pizza, so this looks tantalizing to me. Crust is my favorite part of the pizza, and it’s nice to see this brand is preservative free. I think the glittery pinecones really added a nice touch!
