My garden is officially gone for the season.
The results of my first garden led me to learn a lot. First, I am not a dirt person so I really didn’t do much, my husband did. I’ll admit that now. He worked on the garden and I cooked with what grew from it. I did plant the garden, and I learned that it’s not always a good idea to pour the entire bag of squash seeds in. That was a good lesson to learn. I love the squash, but since it took over my garden, that was all that I had…a lot of squash.
Next, the temperatures soared to over 100* or even over 110* for nearly 30 days or more straight here. At that point, we decided the garden had enough.
I’ll be trying again and taking what I learn this year to do things a bit differently next year.
How about you? How are your gardens doing? Still flourishing?
