It’s the perfect time to make these delicious Sweet Potato Chips and pair them with your favorite burger!
Do you ever get tired of fries with your burgers? Well, a great way to mix it up is with Sweet Potato Chips. Of course, it’s still all a potato, right? Last year, I got hooked to making our own baked potato chips, so I thought I would whip up some Sweet Potato Chips instead with some burgers recently. They were a hit with all! Well, I should say the ones that I didn’t burn were a hit. These need to be watched closely to avoid burning. I had to take a few out and leave a few others in the oven to bake a bit more, but we actually ended up needing more because we ran out so fast!
I decided to add some melted cinnamon butter to these with a brush, just a nice light layer of it. It gave them a little hint of sweetness on top of the natural sweetness. They were absolutely delicious and perfect with a burger. I love that it’s grilling season and suddenly burgers and baked potato chips hit our menu regularly. It’s also a nice change from the standard french fries with burgers too.
I’m watching portion size closely lately, but these were hard not to overeat, although one potato goes a long way so luckily you can eat several and still be within a good portion size.
Do you have a go-to side for burgers? I have so many, but sometimes it’s nice to just stick to something simple. Are you growing sweet potatoes in your garden this year? I’d love to hear how that goes. I’ve never attempted potatoes yet in our garden but I probably should!
Now, it’s time to eat! Enjoy!
