This past weekend, I needed a break! I am finally starting to feel somewhat better and feel like I have been trapped inside my house for the better part of the last 3 months. I wanted to go outside, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy time with my family!
I thought I would plan an easy night out of the kitchen, so I headed over to Walmart and picked up a Tombstone Pizza and Nestle Drumsticks. I also decided to get my son a kiddie pool because we had not got one yet this year. It turned out to be a hit!
When we picked up the pizza, I was actually pretty surprised by the relatively low price of Tombstone Pizza. We typically rotate between homemade and frozen pizzas depending on how busy our day has been on a pizza night; however, I have always spent twice that on a frozen pizza.
After finding the pizza, it was time to find the ice cream. The most important part of course!
It’s been a while since I have bought Nestle Drumsticks; however, I always thought of them just as a plain vanilla with chocolate and peanuts, that’s not the case now! There are so many different flavors, I felt like I had so many choices!
I ended up buying the chocolate pretzel drumsticks, how delicious do those sound? Head on over to my Google + Story to see more of my shop.
Now I had my food ready for the evening, it was time to go home, fill up the pool, pop the pizza in the oven, and relax!
We took our pizza outside so that we could enjoy the fresh air and play in the pool. My son of course wanted to take a bite of pizza then run back and forth to the pool.
He has now discovered ranch dip, so his pizza had to be dipped in lots of ranch! What can I say in my part of the world everything is better with ranch!
He took his pizza coated self for a nice dip in the new pool, but I am sure you all know with a 3 year old there is never a dull moment. This happened next…
Notice our dog taking a refreshing drink from his pool, next thing we know…
He decided to take a refreshing drink from the same spot she did. This is where I went into my grossed out mommy mode. Yuck! Our dog did just kill a ground hog family a few days ago with that same tongue. Eww!
Then, May lays down and looks so innocent as if she just taught him the ropes. Thanks, May.
We played for a few hours then it was time for ice cream, my son’s favorite!
Oh and his older twin’s favorite too, also known as daddy.
We enjoyed a wonderful, peaceful Friday night complete with Tombstone Pizza and Nestle Drumsticks because all moms need a relaxing break! It was so nice to kick my feet back without dealing with morning sickness and just enjoy some much needed time with my family.
Now, let us know how do you #GrabSummerFun?
