Start your day with a delicious Strawberry Banana Smoothie!
We like to stop by the Farmer’s Market during the summer months, do you? One thing I stock up on is fresh ingredients for smoothies. Smoothies are just such a great grab and go breakfast or snack during the day.
It’s also easy to customize and make them kid-friendly, protein-packed, or great smoothies for weight loss too.
This week we decided to combine strawberry and banana with some low-fat, plain yogurt. These happen to be staples in our fridge, so we can always count on being able to make this Strawberry Banana Smoothie.
This way I can drink a healthy drink and head out the door in the morning even when I’m in a hurry!
What do you need for a Strawberry Banana Smoothie?
- Strawberries
- Bananas
- Plain Yogurt
- Peanut Butter
- Honey
My husband and kids enjoyed this smoothie too, we whipped up the Strawberry Banana Smoothie right before school and enjoyed them on the way. We have a bit of a drive to school each day so it was a great way to get some good foods in on the way.
Tips for Making a Strawberry Banana Smoothie
I love to add oats to this smoothie too from time to time. I didn’t this particular time but if you like a thicker consistency add a bit to it.
If it is too thick, add just a little bit of water to make it thinner. If you prefer your smoothie super cold as I do, add ice to it.
Enjoy this Strawberry Banana Smoothie!

I am a smoothie lover! I would love to try this brand of yogurt too. The boys and I will be trying this for breakfast✨
Yum! This recipe looks and sounds delicious and refreshing. Something I would enjoy. Our daughter is allergic to bananas, so unfortunately I wont be able to. Maybe I can substitute the bananas with something?
Yes, you sure could. Maybe even swap it out with another berry.
That smoothie looks so delicious. It makes me want to break out my Vitamix and get started with making my own delicious blend of smoothie. I’ll have to give this a try over the weekend. Thanks for the recipe.
Sounds like a great smoothie! My kids love that flavor combo, and so do I. It’s a classic combination. I’ll have to try this for breakfast some time. 🙂
Ooh, I know I’m supposed to be focusing on the smoothie but I just love those Pioneer Woman mason jars <3 But that sounds DELICIOUS – I have some serious smoothie drinkers in this house, and I actually don't think we've done that classic combo. Will have to give it a try tomorrow, thanks!
Right? I love those!!! I need to get more, my kids love them too.
We are huge smoothie lovers in our house because it is a quick, easy, and delish way for us to get our fruits and veggies. Strawberry and banana are frequent requests from my boys, and I like to add some spinach into it when they aren’t looking. Can’t wait to try out your recipe.
I also like adding oats to smoothie because it makes the drink feel heavier and thus I feel very full afterwards. This is the kind of drink that I’d like to have during summer. Strawberry and bananas are in season.
Exactly, me too!
I want a smoothie! I’m in France right now, and while I’m finding a lot of delicious cheese, it’s not easy to get a good smoothie. This one sounds so delicious and healthy, too. (Except I’d cut out the honey.) Yum!
Oh France sounds wonderful though! I hope you get your smoothie fix!
Smoothies are THE perfect way to incorporate fruits and veggies into you diet…and they are great for kids! I actually tell mine when I add foods they won’t regularly eat and they don’t care, as long as they’re in a smoothie!
This looks so good! Strawberry Banana is one of my favorites and I have been looking for a good smoothie recipe since I normally do shakes. Thanks for sharing!
Hope you enjoy it!
