Last week was spring break in our part of the country, which typically for us at my son’s age means he’s out of preschool! We usually just hang out around here and enjoy activities throughout the week unfortunately for the better part of the spring break it rained. It did not rain just a little, it rained a lot!
So, come the end of spring break and the weekend, the skies turned sunny and blue, which meant we needed to head to the park!
What else goes with park fun? TCBY! We recently discovered TCBY has new products in grocery stores, specifically, I found mine at Walmart.
I found mine near the Popsicles a little bit down from the main quarts of ice cream. To see more on my shopping trip head over to my Google + story.
I have loved TCBY since I was a little toddler myself, so being able to enjoy it with my son brings back a lot of memories! There used to be a small shop near our house growing up and my grandma would take us there for a treat every now and then after school!
I remember exactly where it was and what it looked like. I also remember that I always ordered a plain yogurt then had it piled high with extra sprinkles! I loved seeing those bright sprinkles when we walked in!
I purchased several quarts at Walmart, plus a few yogurt bars then I headed to the park with several friends to have a frozen yogurt party!
We had our ice cream and toppings set out for the guest, then it was time to dig in!
Yum…I think my brother -in-law decided to do a little taste test first!
My flavor of choice was the strawberry with sprinkles of course.
The English Toffee though seemed to be the most popular, and it was gone quick!
My nephew has food allergies and we didn’t want him to miss out on any of the fun! So, we had a dairy free pint of ice cream for him and he was able to top it up with some delicious toppings!
I didn’t realize this quart above had a big cut in the front until it was too late! Whoops! Regardless, we enjoyed our frozen yogurt treat, as soon as the kids and adults were done it was time to hit the park and play!
I really could not think of a better way to end a spring break, playing and eating TCBY! Perfect Day!
Have you tried this yet?! Not only is it delicious it’s low fat too! This is going to likely be showing up on my regular grocery list! Find out more over on Facebook and Twitter at #TCBYGrocery.
