Do you feel like this winter was just a little too harsh? I do. I know I can’t complain much because the snow and cold we had was nothing compared to the northeast. I would not have survived, so props to all those that live in the areas buried in snow this year. Even so, we had a lot of snow and cold days for us here in Oklahoma. I feel as though I have never been so ready for spring before.
I need sunshine and warmth, we have had just way too many gray days that have put me into a funk. I’m ready for flip-flops, capris pants, and turning the heater off.
This past weekend, I got a few brief moments to myself with my coffee, fresh flowers, and a few of my favorite magazines.
It turned out to be just what I needed on a beautiful, sunshine filled day to get ready for spring.
Of course, I picked these up at one of my favorite stores, Target! Right now you can purchase any TWO off the THREE magazines PEOPLE® Magazine, All You® Magazine, or Real Simple® Magazine and SAVE $2, while supplies last, offer ends on 3/28! There is no coupon necessary! On top of that, Save 15% on select special issue magazines which include PEOPLE® Crimes of Passion, National Geographic® 100 Journeys of a Lifetime, TIME® Mark Twain, LIFE® Lincoln while using the Target Cartwheel app. Available until 4/17/15, while supplies last.
This was the perfect way to unwind and gear up for a wonderful spring season.
I decided to flip through both magazines for a little recipe inspiration along with decorating inspiration for our home. I felt like I needed a fresh start for the season, so I even added a few recipes to our menu plan that I can just make without taking pictures of or posting but have a little break from ‘work’ too this season.
I always feel like magazines and coffee go together, so that is just necessary for my me time. My husband took the kids outside to play while I had a few moments to myself to switch gears and really spring into springtime!
How do you enjoy me time? Are you doing anything for you this spring? I have a feeling I’ll also be taking a magazine and heading to get a pedicure too! I think that’s necessary also, how about you?
Happy ‘Almost’ Spring!
