Slow Cooker Sweet & Sour Chicken is a great option for dinner!
One of my favorite dishes is Sweet N’ Sour Chicken, only I really wanted to find a little bit more healthy way to eat it. Thankfully, I found this recipe over on Cooking Light making this dish but with a healthier twist.
The main difference is that the chicken is not breaded, which was a bit of a shocker to my taste buds even knowing that it wasn’t. I knew going in it would taste a bit different than the traditional version I am used too, so simply be aware you will not be biting into the batter covered chicken. It was delicious though and so simple to make.
I prepped the slow cooker with all the ingredients the night before, then I simply turned it on in the morning and dinner was cooking.
I also substituted the chicken thighs for the chicken breast, simply because that is what I had on hand. This dish can actually be made with a variety of cuts of chicken and other proteins as well.
Are you ready for an easy slow cooker dinner? Try this one!
Enjoy!
