Slow Cooker Maple Apple Chicken is a simple classic that is easy to prepare.
Guess what? This was my last round of the stockpile of Chicken Drumsticks that I purchased, so you may get a little break from drumstick recipes…maybe.
I have to say they are one of the easiest cuts of chicken to work with and always seem to burst with flavor. For this last recipe I made, I used maple syrup along with a little bit of apples.
It was perfect! The chicken was so good, my husband was raving about it.
The best part about these recipes is that you can prep them the night before, then just turn on your slow cooker the morning you are leaving and dinner is done when you are home.
It may appear that I cook a lot, which I absolutely do…BUT I LOVE recipes like this that are very little work on my part.
I have extremely busy days too where getting into the kitchen is virtually impossible or I just really do not feel like cooking. I did start out as hating to cook, right? I may love it more now than I did initially but I have my moments too.
Are you ready for a delicious, fall meal? Eat up!

I love that these can be made ahead and thrown into the crockpot!
That’s my favorite part about slow cooker meals!
Does the maple make them sweet? My husband doesn’t love mixing sweet with savory.
Yes it does make them sweet. He probably wouldn’t care for it much if he doesn’t like the mix.
Does it matter what kind of apples? Red, green? Which kind did you use? Thanks!
I typically make this with whatever type I have on hand, most commonly red apples. It can also be made with honey crisp apples and that gives it a sweeter taste.
