Skylanders Marshmallow Treats are a fun way to celebrate your favorite game!
My little boy is turning into a little man, that’s right…he is. He is growing at an alarming rate. When I actually started this blog, he had just turned 1! He’s now about to turn 6. I can’t even wrap my mind around where the past 5 years went. In the beginning I was posting different toddler foods as he was embarking on trying new foods, now he is helping me make many of the recipes that I post.
A few weeks ago he lost his first tooth, that was a big milestone in our house. I thought I had at least another year before that happened, he was pretty happy that he didn’t have to wait that long but he looks like a totally different kid now!
This past week he was even more ecstatic to help me with this recipe because it was all about Skylanders! He is really getting into Skylanders lately so this was the perfect mother/son date day in the kitchen. Right now General Mills has teamed up with Skylanders to offer an exclusive game FREE with your favorite boxes of cereal. Hidden inside specially marked boxes of Big G cereals, fans can find several Skystones cards that are playable using the game board on the back of the box.
The best part is you can collect all 4 sets and then you can get codes to download and unlock characters within the game. My son was all in for this, but we obviously wanted to make a little treat with our cereal too. We decided on these Skylanders Marshmallow Treats using Fruity Cheerios. My kids were in love with these and so was my husband!
I’ll also say I can’t wait for cheerios to officially be gluten free, then I can join in and eat one too! Ready for a treat?!
