Typically, mornings are a bit rushed around our house for my husband. He has to be at work around 4am, so he gets up at the latest time possible for work. Since he does this it leaves very little time for a healthy breakfast!
I have been making freezer meals for him to take on the go, but along with that he needs something full of protein to get him started on his day. He has a heavy labor job, so he needs all the energy and strength he can get.
This week, I picked up some Silk Fruit and Protein for him to try. I even had a coupon, even better!
Thankfully, my coupon saved me $1 off, so I picked up half a gallon for $2.78 at Walmart. There were 3 varieties to choose from, but I went with the Mixed Berry.
As soon as I arrived at home I was anxious for him to try it because it was much better for him than orange juice or coffee in the mornings.
Then, there was the taste test as he was about to head out to finish up the yard work. His first words were ‘it’s fruity’, then he kept on drinking.
This juice is a hit for our family, especially as we need as much protein as we can get throughout the day. I also thought that getting 100% Vitamin C in one serving was another added bonus!
My husband also wants to try to make some smoothies with it too and add some more fruit!

I loved the Mango Peach. Could not get my husband to try it but my son loved Strawberry Banana.

This one I found at Walmart, I haven’t seen it that high! Eeek!
Our Walmarts carry it and I’ve seen it in our local Kroger chain store as well!
Ooh…definitely try it in smoothies! We did that and it is SO good! 🙂
The strawberry banana was excellent in a smoothie. I’m hooked.
I can’t wait to see what my husband thinks of it!
