As we head into the holidays a wonderful Rustic Holiday Wreath is the perfect touch to the home.
It’s nearly time to start decorating for Christmas, have you started yet?
This past week my mom and I got busy on a fun craft project making a wreath together.
We both head to Walmart and picked up everything we needed to make a Rustic Holiday Wreath.
I’m always amazed at the selection that Walmart has when it comes to holiday decoration.
They have so many great rustic items and ornaments that are perfect for a wreath.
We actually purchased everything we needed there including the wreath. Then, we headed to the craft aisle to load up on Krazy Glue.
Once you have all your supplies, it’s time to make that beautiful wreath.
My mom is certainly a crafty one, she can literally look at something and in an instant she’s created something beautiful with several materials.
I will admit I’m a little jealous.
I am a very crafty person too, but she is just so much more than that.
It was nice to just have a day with mom to craft. That alone may be a great gift for your mom this holiday season, a mother/daughter craft day!
We went to the holiday aisle at Walmart and found several ornaments that we really liked, then we built our idea around those ornaments.
We picked up several types of holiday floral that are located right by the ornaments to fill the wreath.
Then, we grabbed some burlap style ribbon to go around the wreath to add another layer to it.
The Krazy Glue works well to glue the ornaments and floral onto the wreath.
It’s always good to have hot glue on hand as well to secure some of the loose items; however, the Krazy Glue is the best option for securing the floral to each other so it stays bunched together.
It is America’s #1 super glue and a must have for craft projects, especially during the holidays.
We did notice on the package, it’s recommended to use gloves.
Take it from my experience, it is super glue and gloves are a must have when using it unless you want your fingers glued to your wreath.
I learned that reading instructions was super important real quick!
We even found some hangers for the wreaths that had bells on them.
Those went perfectly with the rustic theme. Those can also be found at Walmart too. If you have trouble, use hot glue as a back up.
These Rustic Holiday Wreaths are easy to customize too, you can make them with items that you love.
I tend to be drawn to rustic ornaments and colors, so this was the perfect option to put on the door for this upcoming holiday season.
My mom used a plain burlap ribbon with a little bling on it, while I went with the red ribbon.
Now, once you have your wreath just the way you want it, then it’s time to adorn your door with your beautiful creation.
Ours look perfect on our doors and now we are ready to finish off our holiday decorating.
I’ve found that Krazy Glue is also perfect for repairing holiday decorations that may get damaged a bit during storage.
That always seems to happen to me each year and with a little glue they are as good as new!
Are you ready for the holidays? I know, I am! We have plans to get all the Christmas decorations out this weekend and finish them up.
What is your favorite decoration at Christmas time? I’d love to hear it!

Yes, it’s perfect for all skill levels!
I have not started yet. I said i wanted to decorate before Thanksgiving. That may not happen…but right after for sure. I agree Walmart has great items.
Wow this wreath is beautiful! I have a new plan wreath in my closet I may try and do a little crafting on mine. This is really pretty.
This is on my to do list for this weekend. We need a new Christmas door wreath bad!! Ours is so old. I have all of my supplies I just need to do it. This is such a pretty wreath. YOu will be able to use if for years to come!
Wow does that wreath ever look fabulous and elegant. I can’t believe how it seems so simple to make and very little supplies needed. This is by far at the top of my lists of things to do this month, I will definitely use this as a reference.
I like using Krazy Glue for a variety of projects. I do get frustrated when I’ve opened it and then the top dries up, making it difficult for me to get the glue out. But I think this happens with all adhesives. Krazy Glue is a good product that works!
Well that is a super cute idea! I love the idea of making my own things for the holidays. It is always nice when people compliment my decora and ask things like where they can pick one up for themselves and I tell them that I made it. It really makes it special after that when I gift them one as well. This is such a fun idea, I would love to make one fo these and hang it at my home.
This is such a beautiful wreath. I am not very talented or patient. However, I will do my best to make this wreath happen. I would love to display it on my door.
It’s great for all skill levels!
This is beautiful! I remember making something similar when I was in elementary school – way back when! I need to look for it…thanks for the reminder! 😉
This is a very pretty wreath. We were just talking the other day about how not creative i am. I could follow these directions. Thank you for the possible craft that i can maybe manage.
Yes it’s great for all skill levels!
This is gorgeous. I love wreaths. We have a gorgeous one on our front door but I’ve love one for our front window. This is a great idea, and think making your own makes it much more special!
