Are you ready for a delicious treat for breakfast? It’s your lucky day with these Kellogg’s® Wild Berry Froot Loops® Cereal. We stopped into Walmart this past week to pick up a box, and our family loved the Wild Berry Froot Loops®. I decided to make some Ready-to-Serve Cereal & Milk Packs for Breakfast as we head back to school this year.
My son has been making his own breakfast for a while now; his preference has always been cereal and milk. Does it really get any better? The key though that we’ve been trying to teach him is that he needs to keep in mind just how much he’s pouring into his bowl.
Now my daughter has started to make her own breakfast, too. She is definitely not ready to measure out cereal into a bowl, so we opted for the next best option with these Ready-to-Serve Cereal & Milk Packs.
This is super simple to do and perfect for the kids and adults to keep portion size in mind. I went by the portion size on the box of Wild Berry Froot Loops®, which is 1 cup. I poured 1 cup of cereal into sealable sandwich bags.
Next, I happened to find milk bottles that have lids on them, so I portioned out the milk into the smaller milk bottles and sealed them with a lid.
These milk bottles are absolutely perfect for both adults and kids as well too, just the right size and the lid keeps them fresh.
That means that when the kids wake up in the morning, they can grab a bowl, a prepared bag of cereal, plus a milk bottle. Next up, they simple pour it in and serve it up! This helps me to get myself ready in the morning, plus it teaches them a little bit more about responsibility but also sets some boundaries too.
I am sure at one point or another we have all walked into the kitchen to find the entire box of cereal landed in our child’s bowl, right? It just happens. This way though, it’s easy to make sure that doesn’t happen and they get just the right amount.
Not to mention, I love that our kids are getting to the ages that they can get themselves a bowl of cereal in the mornings. I’ll admit, some mornings, I like to sleep in a little bit longer while they enjoy their breakfast!
The best part of course is these delicious NEW Wild Berry Frooit Loops®; they are full of star shapes and beautiful colors. They also have a wonderful berry aroma that fills the air, too.
What do you need to make Cereal & Milk Packs for Breakfast?
- Sealable Plastic Sandwich Bags
- Kellogg’s® Wild Berry Froot Loops®
- Milk Bottles
- Milk
Now, once you have your products together, simply portion out the cereal into the bags, and do the same with the milk. Keep the bags in a basket in your pantry, and then the milk can be stored in the fridge. I have found that a shelf on the side of the fridge works the best. Once that’s done, the adults or kids can grab a bag and the milk and enjoy a delicious breakfast that’s ready to serve!
Are you ready to try out the NEW Wild Berry Froot Loops®? I highly suggest heading to Walmart to pick up a box as we head back to school

Awesome idea!!
Thank you! It works so well for kids and adults too. 🙂
Very easy and smart idea. Happy Summer, Kippi
What about just measuring out in a lidded bowl? This would teach more sustainability to kids to use a reusable bowl instead of throwing away plastic ( even if you re use the bag, it’s still thrown away and just reinforces that we throw stuff away) I love the idea as a whole, but just can’t stand unnecessary waste!
That’s a great idea! I hadn’t thought about that, thank you for mentioning it.
I like the idea to teach kids to be self sufficient. Will you share where you got the glass milk bottles?
Yes! I got these Set of 12-11 oz Glass Bottles with Lids, Vintage 11 oz Glass Milk Bottles with Lids, Vintage Breakfast Shake Container, Vintage Drinking Bottles for Party, Glass Bottle with Straw and Lid for Kids https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NARS722/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_CBkDBbCXEE8XG.
They also have some with just lids too.
