Get ready for a great mommy and daughter date with this Easy Waffle Bar plus watching, “Spirit Riding Free” on Netflix!
This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group®, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #AddSpirit2Breakfast http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV.
One thing I know for sure is that my daughter loves to spend time with me…all the time. I’m going to soak this in as long as I can because you just never know when that will change, right?
I will say though I loved spending time with my mom too, and I still do. I was the weird one in high school that would prefer to go to dinner with her mom on a Friday night over going to high school football games with friends.
I don’t regret that either, that was exactly what I wanted to do and if I did it all over again…I’d still do it the same way.
That’s just the way I am I guess, but I love that my daughter so far seems to be that same way. One thing though that I am trying very hard to show her and teach her is that she can strive for any goal she sets her mind to.
I know we are truly in an era where women are rising up and empowerment is such a huge topic but it’s also SO IMPORTANT to really encourage and demonstrate to your kids at a young age.
I feel like there is a lot of importance for my son as well, so I won’t leave him out. I’m trying to show him just as much how to be respectful and that he can also achieve his goals and dreams too.
One thing my daughter and I love to do is enjoy some quality time with a fun treat and a show. That’s possibly her favorite thing to do actually. She loves to get in the kitchen and help me, so doing a waffle bar is right up her alley.
How do you create the perfect Easy Waffle Bar?
Thanks to Walmart Grocery Pick Up, this is so simple to do! Seriously, what was life like before grocery pickup? I rarely ever actually go to the store and do grocery shopping anymore.
I grabbed a few necessities such as Eggo Waffles and Reddi-Wip, which are of course necessary for any easy waffle bar. Then, I added in some of my daughter’s favorite fruit which was blueberries and raspberries.
Of course, we also need some granola in the morning too.
We almost always have Reddi-Wip in our fridge for a variety of tasty foods, but I love that it uses the best dairy cream in original flavors. Plus, they also now have coconut cream in non-dairy varieties, which is perfect for my son.
My husband and daughter are such huge fans of Eggo, so we always have those in the freezer too. My daughter would prefer chocolate chips waffles daily, but I typically go for the Homestyle or Buttermilk varieties.
They are warm, fluffy, and delicious. Plus they toast up in just a few minutes to a delicious golden crisp, that makes them great for morning breakfast too.
Next up, we built our waffles and got cuddled up on the cough to watch “Spirit Riding Free” on Netflix.
What is “Spirit Riding Free“?
Have you ever watched it yet? It’s such a fun show where each horse and girl have a very distinct personality. “Spirit Riding Free” is on Netflix, which happens to be perfect because we like to watch it on their tablet too.
It takes place in the 19th-century town of Miradero, Texas and follows the girls and their horses on epic adventures.
This show truly shows positive friendships and how girls can be empowered and achieve their dreams. It’s one that both my daughter and I enjoy, so it’s perfect for our mommy and daughter dates.
What do you need for the Easy Waffle Bar?
- Eggo Waffles
- Reddi-Wip
- Blueberries
- Raspberries
- Granola
- Syrup
That’s it! That’s all you need for an Easy Waffle Bar. We have everything sitting out on our buffet table or counter and then each one of us or guests can come and top their waffles.
This is a fun idea too if you have a sleepover with friends as well, what a great way for the girls to wake up in the morning to an Easy Waffle Bar!
