My favorite month has finally arrived, October. There is really nothing negative about October, it’s absolutely beautiful in every single way. This is the month where I just want everything to slow down so that I can soak it all in. I love the weather, the food, the hoodies, the colors, and all the activities that October brings. One of our favorites is visiting the local Pumpkin Patch.
We tend to go to the Pumpkin Patch a few times throughout the month of October because the kids enjoy it so much. We always go together and pick out our favorite pumpkins, and then we go home and paint them. We carve them occasionally but painting them seems to be the best option with our kids. Of course, we do ALWAYS roast the pumpkin seeds. That’s my favorite part about the pumpkins, those delicious seeds. I remember helping my mom get all those seeds out to roast when I was a kid, now it’s my turn to do the same with my own kids. It’s always fun to see how the kids change over the years in pictures as well from the pumpkin patch.
This year, we decided to enjoy a little lunch to get us ready to go with these Angus Cheeseburgers from Sandwich Bros. of WI. I paired them with Cinnamon Applesauce and we decided to make Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies. My kids were so excited to spend some time in the kitchen with me making these cookies, plus they are tasty too!
The Angus Cheeseburgers have become a favorite for my kids, topped with real American Cheese. The burgers are 100% Angus beef. They are lean, flame-broiled. My kids have enjoyed the Sandwich Bros. sandwiches so much that I’ve started picking them up in bulk at the store. They make for a great sandwich option for lunches at school too!
Now, once we had our lunch made, it was time to eat up before heading out to the pumpkin patch. Of course, not only are they great for a lunch option but also for fall festivals and Halloween. These are easy to take with you while the kids are out collecting all that candy!
Are you ready for a delicious bite? It’s time for lunch!
Enjoy!
