Pretzel Roll Tuna Salad Sandwiches are a great go-to sandwich idea for lunch!
As school is back in full force or will be for many parts of the country after this upcoming weekend, that means lunches are at an all time rise. Yes, a rise, at least in the packing lunches sense.
My son likes a variety in his lunch, which is funny since at home he only eats a few different things. Along with my son’s lunch, my husband is working at a job now where he has to take his lunch. In the past, he rarely ate lunch at work. Now, I have been trying to expand his thought process with lunch too outside of a PB&J. Of course, there is nothing wrong with a PB&J, but if you eat it all week…that gets old, fast.
I am pretty excited to share this recipe today using the Bumble Bee Premium Light Tuna in the Water Pouch or the canned version for a different sandwich twist for lunch. This tuna comes in single serve options which are 2.5oz or the 5oz option. These are so simple to use and make a quick Tuna Salad with.
Now, how do you take that Tuna Salad to a whole new level? The sandwich bun and toppings! For this Tuna Salad, I decided to use a pretzel roll bun which my family happens to love. Since I eat gluten free, they are always excited when ‘gluten’ products arrive in our home. I knew that they would love to see a lunch with these fun rolls.
It only took a few short minutes to mix together the tuna along with a little bit of Mayo and Relish. Then, I simply added a garden fresh tomato, Swiss Cheese, and topped it with the Tuna Salad. All of this delicious goodness was served on a Pretzel Bun.
These make for a protein packed lunch item. It can even be sliced in half then send half with your child to school and save the rest for later because they are very filling.

Pretzel Roll Tuna Salad Sanwiches
Ingredients
- 5 oz Package of Bumble Bee Premium Light Tuna in Water or 2 - 2.5oz Packages or the Bumble Bee Canned Tuna
- 1 Tbsp Mayo
- 1 Tbsp Sweet Relish
- 2 Pretzel Roll Buns
- 2 Slices of Swiss Cheese
- 2 Slices of Tomato
Instructions
- Begin by combining the Tuna, Mayo, and Relish in a small bowl mixing well.
- Slice the Pretzel Roll and add the swiss cheese to the bottom half of the roll, then the tomato.
- Top it with the Tuna Salad and the top of the roll.
- Serve.
