Have you ever taken a very close look at what you are putting into your body each day or maybe what you aren’t? My husband and I sure did recently and we were shocked! Of course, I told myself I eat ‘relatively’ healthy, then I realized how many calories I wasn’t counting during the day that I just grazed by the fridge and put in my mouth. I also realized, I had a huge lack of protein, which was one reason why my blood sugar seemed to be all over the place. We both took action and over the course of the past 6 weeks, we have taken major strides to change our diet along with exercise too. I quickly went from never meeting my daily protein goals to always meeting my daily protein goals and that has turned into weight loss for me, more energy, and an overall better outlook health wise. It’s amazing what a few lifestyle changes can do for you.
This past 6 weeks has been a game changer for my husband and I, he’s down more than 10 pounds now and I’m right behind him. It just took some changes in the way we eat and of course the addition of protein packed foods and drinks, there was no diet or special tricks simply eating better and working out more. It’s a simple combination that sometimes is so hard to do. I also found it was amazing how we don’t crave those bad things anymore once we started eating more good foods.
