How do you make this recipe gluten-free?
If you need this to be made gluten-free, use a gluten-free white or yellow cake mix, then add a dash of lemon extract to the cake mix to give it a lemon flavor.
Tips for Making Ninja Foodi Lemon Poppy Seed Cake:
Depending on the cake mix you use some of the cake ingredients will vary. The water, olive oil, and eggs in this recipe go with the box of Duncan Hines Cake Mix, so if you use a different type of cake mix, you will want to follow the box cake mix instructions for the eggs and oil.
The cake MUST be fully cooled before frosting.
A good tip is not to release it until you can handle the pan with your bare hands. If you do it when the cake is still warm it will not release in one piece.
We use a buttercream frosting; however, you do not have to frost the cake at all, you could even serve it with lemon curd or jam for a light treat.
This cake is made using the Steam Bake function of your Ninja Foodi Multi-Cooker, the valve can be opened or closed it will not matter for this recipe.
The pressure cooker lid will be used for this recipe.
How long do you store leftovers?
This cake can be stored in an air-tight container on the counter for 2-3 days or in the fridge for up to 5 days.

I don’t have steam crisp or steam bake on my ninja. How can I make this, it sounds good. Maybe you can help me. Is 280 c or f degrees?
It’s 280 F.
I haven’t tried this flavoring on any other function other than steam crisp and bake; however, you could adapt it to do it with the air crisp setting similar to this recipe – https://www.mommyhatescooking.com/air-fryer-cake-ninja-foodi-recipe.
