Make a great dinner with this Easy Ninja Foodi Hawaiian Chicken, easy to make gluten-free too!
Making a variety of saucy chicken in the air fryer has become a go-to for our meals during the week. This can also be made as Air Fryer Hawaiian Chicken.
It’s so easy to make the chicken in the air fryer and coat it with your favorite sauce, one of our favorites is Honey Garlic Chicken but now we are enjoying this tasty recipe too!
Tips for Making Ninja Foodi Hawaiian Chicken:
Air Fryer or Ninja Foodi Hawaiian Chicken is best made with boneless, skinless chicken thighs, these do not dry out as chicken breast does. It really helps maintain the flavor.
The first thing you will want to do is cut the chicken into chunks and then coat them with cornstarch. I normally start with about 1/4 cup cornstarch and go up from there, you want the chunks fully coated.
Once the chicken is cooked, you can remove it and make the sauce in the pot of the Ninja Foodi after the chicken is cooked. The other option is to prepare the sauce on the stove while the chicken is cooking.
If you decide to make the sauce in the Ninja Foodi, you’d remove the chicken and use the saute function to cook the sauce, then you would add the chicken back in and mix it up with the sauce.

How should you serve Ninja Foodi Hawaiian Chicken?
We love to serve this with rice, it’s actually amazing served with coconut rice. The coconut rice really compliments the flavor; however, you can serve it with regular white rice or cauliflower rice too.

I don’t have a basket type air fryer, so sometimes these recipes don’t work for me no matter how great they sound.
hi what can i use instead of peppers please in the hawaiian chicken my daughter won’t eat peppers
I would probably just leave them out then, normally for my kids I just serve them a serving without them because we love the peppers.
