One of the most popular questions I get and have gotten throughout my cooking life revolves around what I use in my kitchen to cook! That means, dishes, pots, pans, appliances, and all those fun gadgets!
So, in light of that I decided to start a new series that I’m going to do each month until I get tired of it! Yep, I think we will start and just see how it goes. Basically I’m going to give a list of my Top 10 that I use related to a particular topic, this month is all about grilling.
These will by no means be the only items I use or in any order of importance, but just some of the items I can’t live without!
Time to get right to it!
We currently use this Saber Grill, but it’s very new to us! We have used and still use this Smoker & Grill Combo. We received this as a house warming gift when we bought our first gift. It’s still a go to grill for us and we smoke meats on it all the time. So, now you have options gas or charcoal! We enjoy having both!
Next up, you want to be sure that you have your meat cooked to the right temperature, so a meat thermometer is necessary. We actually went a while without one and then were constantly guessing if our meat was done. This will take the guessing away plus keep your meat at a safe temperature. I like the digital ones the best because they are much easier for me to read!
We love grilled pizza so this is certainly one of our favorites!
I like to cook my veggies on the grill too and using a cast iron skillet allows me to do this easily!
Of course, you will need a good set of grilling tools!
#6. Metal Skewers
We love to have kabobs or kebabs, whichever way you want to spell it. So, these are necessary, I prefer metal over wooden. I really do not like having wooden shards in my food!
It’s always a good idea to have a great grilling cookbook for nights when you need some recipe inspiration!
You get a spatula with your grilling tools but it’s always nice to have a heavy duty one too. We have a few spatulas in different sizes similar to this one. They are commercial grade and fabulous. They are perfect for turning those burgers and steaks!
#9. Tong Set
We have a tong set too for turning veggies or various meats. These are always nice to have regardless if you are grilling or cooking indoors!
#10. Cutting Board
A cutting board is something we use regularly too, we usually set it beside the grill to use for either meats and veggies going on it or coming off it. We always have a few so that we don’t mix uncooked with cooked foods!
Of course, when grilling you will also need more than just this list for instance propane tanks or charcoal and lighter fluid are also necessary! These are just a few of the essentials we use while grilling.
I want to know, what is it that you just cannot live without when grilling? What do I need to add to my grilling toolbox?

Happy Grilling Weekend!
