Mickey Mouse Rice Krispie Treats & Party with friends!

Just about every child grows up knowing who Mickey Mouse is, right? I mean watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is just part of our morning routine, it has been since my son was probably 2! Now, my daughter joins in too and I can hear her as I’m getting dressed in the morning yelling ‘toodles’ around the house. It’s really the cutest thing…EVER!
This past weekend we were able to host a Disney party focusing on Mickey & Minnie Mouse thanks to Mom Select and Disney Side! It was a blast for the kids, of course the food was the main attraction but we also had games too.
I love that finding branded foods for Mickey Mouse is actually fairly easy. I picked up a few party supplies at the store along with the Mickey Mouse cheese and individual bags of pretzels too. I decided to make Rice Krispie Treats shaped like Mickey Mouse too. Those were the biggest hit of the table.
Each time I turned around my daughter had another one in her hand, let’s just say she was bouncing off the walls by the time the party was over.
I picked up the sheets of Rice Krispie Treats that they sell at the store now, then I simply used cookie cutters to cut the shapes. Once I had my shapes, I added sticks to make them ‘pops’, then I dipped each ear in chocolate and covered it with sprinkles. Simple! This is a great, easy way to add a little flare to your party table.
Now, to make them stand up for the table, I wrapped a Styrofoam or Dry Foam rectangle, you can find these in the floral section at the craft store, with red tissue paper and tied off the ends with red ribbon. Then, all you do is push the stick through the Styrofoam and you have the perfect little way to serve your Mickey Mouse Pops!
Next up, we had cupcakes, fruit, and some candy too! I wanted to do mainly simple foods that would be loved by all. Then, it was time to party.
Lucky for us it was nearly 70 degrees in February, so the kids were able to run off that sugar rush outside and the adults got to spend some time chatting! Of course, that weather didn’t last long…now it’s COLD!
