Biscuits.
They are one of the things I miss since going gluten free. Yes, I can make my own biscuits but it’s not the same! I miss those flakey, buttery beauties!
This past week, I decided to make these Maple Sausage Egg Biscuits and I used some canned biscuits. My husband thought it was like candy because it tasted so good. That would be because primarily he eats gluten free at home too because I only cook gluten free.
I’m pretty sure he was singing the gluten praises!
Along with those beautiful, tasty biscuits we cooked up some maple sausage! In a few quick minutes, you will have enough sausage for an entire plate of biscuits! Easy? Yes! Affordable? Yes!
Next up, the eggs! I decided to use this muffin tin and bake the eggs, that way I was able to get a perfectly round shape! All you do is crack an egg into each muffin tin space and then bake them at 350* for about 10-12 minutes or until the eggs are fully cooked.
Once your egg, sausage, and biscuits are done you simply build your biscuit! We topped ours with green peppers fresh from the garden. Delicious breakfast treat! Plus, you can also save these to use throughout the week or freeze them!
Doesn’t that look yummy and hearty? This is one of my favorite ways to cook eggs and then the burst of flavor from the maple sausage just bring it home!
I’m not going to do a recipe card for this one since it’s as simple as baking eggs and sausage then building the biscuit!
I want to know though, what are some of your favorite go to breakfast items?!
