Are you ready to fire up the grill? We are! Let’s mix up our BBQ night and enjoy this Maple BBQ Glazed Salmon with friends and family. I’m sharing this post in partnership with Stubb’s BBQ & Activate, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Our grill has been going in full swing, has yours? Typically, when I think BBQ, I always think beef. For instance ribs, brisket, steaks, and burgers. Of course, sometimes I think grilled chicken too, but mostly beef. The thing is though, you can go way beyond beef to have good BBQ. I decided to take it to a new level with these Maple BBQ Glazed Salmon topped with a grilled fruit salsa using Stubb’s BBQ sauces.
This was light and delicious plus full of real ingredients. I sat outside with my husband and enjoyed my dinner at our patio table while the kids played. I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am that it’s nearly summer. Sitting in the stillness of our backyard listening to the tree frogs just makes my heart happy. Of course, that is if I’m listening to the tree frogs and there isn’t one next to me. Then, I may be running. What can I say…I’m not a fan of frogs.
I decided to glaze the salmon with Stubb’s Original BBQ Sauce along with a tablespoon of maple syrup. I mixed the two together then brushed it on the salmon. I let this sit for about an hour just to really soak in the flavor, then it was time to grill. While it’s grilling you can continue to brush the BBQ sauce on, or you can use what is already there. It will be full of a sweet and spicy flavor. It pairs flavors like tomato, vinegar, molasses, and black pepper bringing them together so that you can really taste the Love & Happiness™.
I knew that I wanted a topping for the salmon too, so I combined cubed cantaloupe, pineapple, and green peppers along with a bit of olive oil. I foil wrapped these and heated them up on the grill with the salmon. The fruit salsa came out perfect and complimented the salmon well. The pairing brought out all of the flavors well.
Stubb’s motto is Love & Happiness™, and I truly believe that good delicious food paired with family and friends brings that out completely. There really is no where else I’d rather be than sitting with my family enjoying a delicious meal. Stubb’s also focuses on great flavor & real ingredients, they want you to know what is in your food and know that it is real goodness too.
Now, many people think tarter sauce when they are choosing a dipping sauce for fish, but I have to say tarter sauce is not always the way to go. For this dish, I paired it with the Texas Sriracha Anytime Sauce. This sauce pairs together a blend of chili peppers and garlic along with cane sugar. I preferred my salmon without a dipping sauce, but since my husband always wants a dipping sauce this one paired perfectly.
Now, is your mouth watering yet? Mine is and I’m ready for dinner now!

My poor grill is still in the garage. I need to pull it out and fire it up, again. This recipe looks so yummy. I love grilled fish.
Yes, my mouth IS watering. I can’t wait to try the sauces, and I’m also going to do the fruit salsa. My only question is: why didn’t you throw some of the frogs on the bbq? 😛 The French call it a delicacy….
Frogs…Eeeeek! I wouldn’t make it then in Europe! 🙂
I love salmon and this looks even better with some delicious looking sauces! I’ve tasted Stubb’s before and love the flavor and consistency! Can’t wait to try the recipe.
Oh my goodness, this looks and sounds delicious. I’m not a big fan of fish, but I do enjoy salmon when it is prepared on the grill. My husband will make it every once in a while. I bet this sauce makes all the difference.
I love using my grill and salmon is one of our favorite things to grill. This recipe looks amazing and we will be giving it a try this month for sure. I love the combination of flavors.
This is right up my alley. Sounds so good and easy!
We eat a ton of fish in my home and I’m always looking for ways to make it more flavorful! This looks like it would be amazing and I love the idea of having more sauce to dip it in. I can’t wait to try this tasty dish.
This sauce looks so awesome! I could think of a few things I could use it on but that salmon looks delicious.
My partner and I LOVE to eat salmon (also because it’s so easy to whip up!) We’ve been doing the same recipes for a while now so a nice change is great. Thanks for sharing this!
Ok, I am making this!! I make salmon at least once a week…my go-to is sauteed in olive oil, dill and capers or I make a honey-soy glaze. This sounds delicious!!!!
I love meals you can cook in a foil packet! This is going on my list of things to make this weekend!
Looks like a perfect way to start the grilling season! Yum!
