Low Fat Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 3 cups Splenda
- 2 cups water
- 1 8- ounce can of fat free sweetened condensed milk
- 2-3 quarts fat free half and half cream.
- 2 tablespoon vanilla
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, bring the Splenda and water to a rolling boil.
- Let this cool a few minutes once boiled.
- Pour the sugar mixture, condensed milk, ½ and ½, and vanilla into the freezer of the ice cream maker.
- Mix this well.
- Prepare based on the ice cream maker manufacturer’s instructions.

The recipe mentions salt, but there isn’t any salt listed in the ingredients.
Is this something that should be in with the ingredients or is it just a typo because of salt on the ice in the maker?
Sorry about the confusion on that! It shouldn’t say ‘salt’ there, I’m updating that. It just means the salt around the ice maker. Thanks!

It says 2-3 quarts half and half?? How much to use?
You would want to use enough to your fill line on your ice cream maker, so it varies. That’s why it’s 2-3.
