Baked Lemon Pepper Catfish makes for a delicious, quick dinner!
Are you ready for a simple, quick dinner? If you are then it’s time to try some Baked Lemon Pepper Catfish.
Now, all you are doing is basically adding some lemon pepper to your catfish and baking it up. This is perfect paired with some Onion Rings too.
This recipe was originally posted back in 2010 and one of the first recipes I started making for my family. It’s a classic and can be adapted to be made with just about any fish you can think of. We love to make this Lemon Rosemary Tilapia these days too.
Now, do you have a favorite fish recipe? This catfish pairs wonderfully with a baked potato and it’s much lighter than breading it too. I’m sure most of us love fried catfish, but this is a better for you option. I am anxious to try this too in an Air Fryer.
I recently got an Air Fryer and as I stumbled on this recipe again, I thought that may be a good one to try there too.
Have you tried fish in the Air Fryer?
As you plan out your menu for the week this Baked Lemon Pepper Catfish will add a great easy dinner night to your week, plus it’s good for you too!
Enjoy!
Baked Lemon Pepper Catfish
Ingredients
- 4 6 oz Catfish Fillets
- 1 Tbsp Butter
- 1 Tsp of Black Pepper
- 1 Tsp of Lemon Juice
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400*.
- In a small bowl melt the butter in the microwave, typically 10 seconds. Add in the pepper and the lemon juice then stir.
- Use a foil lined baking dish and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Place each fillet in the dish and then pour the mixture over the top of the fillets. A little bit goes a long way with this recipe.
- Bake the fish for 30 minutes or until it flakes with a fork. I serve this dish with peas and a baked potato.

WOW! I <3 this recipe! Faast, easy, and delish!
However, next time, I would add a bit more butter so I can brush the fish a bit.
After working on a tow boat all day and needing something quick to throw together for the crew, this was the perfect recipe. Some fried Taters, broccoli and cheese to go with it hit the spot.
Nice recipe…added salt
I for one loved this recipe. It was quick and simple perfect for a relaxing night in…
My only complaint is that I was looking for an extra kick of flavor.
