I mentioned last month that we decided to take the Iams® Visible Differences Challenge, and to say we have been surprised about the changes would be an understatement! We were a bit skeptical at first that the dog food change would directly change her coat and energy levels; however, we were surprisingly wrong. Just within a month, she has a shiny coat again. Previously, her coat was a bit dull and dingy, which was unlike what it used to be. Now it’s much more shiny than it was before.
Not only is her coat shiny but our dog May is anxious to go on walks and runs, plus just playing in the yard. She tires out easily as she is getting up there in age but this past month she has been full of energy and ready to play throughout the day! She even had so much energy that she killed a racoon. I guess that’s country living for you, plus owning a hunting breed of dog.
Right now, we’ve seen such positive differences that we are anxious to see what her vet thinks along with seeing even more changes this next month. We can already tell her digestive system is much more in line with what it should be. She’s also a very large dog so getting her on the right diet to avoid being overweight is key as well.
She’s a lab mix and from what we can tell she was mixed with a larger breed because she is much bigger than a typical full bred lab. We were even contemplating another dog this month thinking maybe she could use a friend. The jury is still out on that but we are about to get chickens. Now, the real test will be if the chickens do not get killed by her thinking they are for hunting! I’m sure this will be an adventure once the chickens arrive.
In the meantime though, we are anxious to see more changes with our family dog, May, plus go on more adventures with her as her energy level has increased. I also love petting her shiny coat, so next month a nice bath and pedicure are on the calendar for her too! Time to pamper our first baby! Have you tried Iams yet? Let me know what types of changes you saw with the Iams Visible Differences Challenge with Iams quality dog food !
