This past week, my sister went out of her way to let me know how crazy I was talking to her about Christmas in July. Do you realize though just how quickly it sneaks up on us? Not to mention, I like to shop earlier to avoid the Christmas rush. It is just so much more relaxing that way.
Since I have been thinking about Christmas lately, plus my daughter’s birthday which is going to be near Christmas time, I thought I would do a little Christmas in July recipe. Excited? Be excited because this recipe is amazing and it’s just as delicious now as it is during the holidays.
This year for my daughter’s birthday I am planning a “Cupcakes, Cookies, and Cocoa with Cora” party. I actually had my theme well before I had the idea. Then, it occurred to me that I had to make cocoa fun for toddlers. What is a girl to do?
Hot Chocolate Floats.
That is the answer! These floats are divine and delicious, not to mention they are cool enough for little ones to enjoy too. I am beyond excited to have found the perfect Hot Chocolate recipe for our cocoa bar, plus the best part? I can easily use this for both her birthday and the Christmas holiday.
Can you imagine, warm cocoa with cold mint chocolate chip ice cream? It’s melt in your mouth good!
I also decided to add a little extra touch to these. I melted Chocolate Almond Bark then dipped the rim of the cups in it to give the rim a chocolate dipped look and taste. I also drizzled a little bit of the bark on wax paper to make hardened chocolate designs to add to the drinks too.
The result?
I have no idea where Hot Chocolate Floats have been all my life, but I am so thankful that I have these in my life now. I’m sure my waist line is not, but come Christmas time, I know what we will be having at our parties!
Why not try one now though?
Enjoy a little treat with your family and sip on a Hot Chocolate Float!
Be sure to head to Walmart to find both the Hot Chocolate & Ice Cream!
Happy Hot Chocolate Float Drinking!
