It’s 3:00 which means I’ll likely be sitting in a car pool line at school with my toddler. Doesn’t it sound like fun? It’s not, friends! Or I guess it could be but only if snacks are involved.
My daughter went through a phase where she would gladly watch the DVD player while sitting in the car pool line but that phase has long passed, now it’s snacks to the rescue. We typically have almost an hour between my daughter going from her preschool to picking up my son at his school. That hour is LONG!
I don’t really have a car that she can get out of her seat and walk around in while we sit and wait, and it’s just not practical for her to do that at the age she is now. That means that everyday as we head out, I always need a quick and easy snack for her. I like to mix it up though so that one snack does not get overly boring for her.
This past week we were introduced to a new product from Honey Maid called Go Bites. These Go Bites are filled with protein and essential nutrients. Protein is one of the main nutrients my kids seem to lack the most, so I was immediately intrigued when I saw they were high in protein. They are also packed with whole grains and loads of flavor.
The best part for me along with those perks is that they have no artificial flavoring or high fructose corn syrup. They come in chocolate and vanilla and have a whole grain shell over the chocolate or vanilla. They also are made with real honey.
I put these to the test when they arrived packing them for our daily trip to get my son from school.
The result?
Happy toddler! She enjoyed snacking on them and I loved that unlike many snacks, she ate every single one instead of dumping them all over the backseat. That was a happy moment for this mommy.
Have you tried Go Bites yet? What are your kids favorite flavors?
Enjoy!
