Today’s Healthy Remix is a refresher recipe, Oven Pot Roast. The Oven Pot Roast is already fairly lean; however, to make this even leaner be sure to trim off any excess fat from the roast. Also use a low sodium beef broth which eliminates unnecessary salt. The wonderful thing about this roast is it is a broth base not gravy. The thicker the ingredients like creams and gravy typically the more fat and calories it has. Broth is primarily water based therefore that alone cuts out much of the fat.
This recipe makes for an easy meal with lots of fresh veggies.
