One of my favorite things to do is host gatherings. Do you like to have friends and family over? I’ll admit the thought of it initially stresses me out, but I still LOVE doing it. We even went to our friends house for a party recently and I realized that I was planning it and it was at their house. What’s wrong with me?
I am so used to having them at my house, my friend of course is incredibly laid back so she thought it was funny, but I couldn’t believe I was doing that. I completely took over. Whoops! This past week, we had some family and friends over for a nice little brunch.
We have so many birthday in February, we like to have a gathering to celebrate them all at once, so why not enjoy it with brunch?
I made Gluten Free Blueberry Muffins, plus a Ham & Cheese Quiche.
I also added lots of fruit and yogurt to the table too. That’s a staple around here. Of course, to serve it all and get it prepped, we used the new line from Thyme & Table at Walmart.
If you love beautiful kitchen products and utensils, this line completely fits the bill. As I was preparing the food, I started to think back when I was about to get my first apartment.
Those months before, during Christmas, I ask for only household gifts. I wanted things for the kitchen and items I would need to furnish the apartment. This line of products from Thyme & Table is absolutely PERFECT for that.
I was trying to think up several family members that may need this as a gift, and I’m sure they would have all been ecstatic to receive them. It’s a great gift, but it’s also perfect to get your kitchen in shape.
I don’t know about your but the drawers with utensils in our house is one of my husband’s biggest pet peeves. I just tend to collect things but over time they need to be replaced and I never seem to get around to it. So, we finally went through and replaced all our dingy utensils with Thyme & Table. It’s also so beautiful, it’s perfect for entertaining.
Now a few tips for entertaining, I love to mix a little homemade with store bought. For instance, when we host a brunch, I make the quiche with a store bought pie shell. I also use store bought yogurt and fruit. Then, I will bake up some muffins or a bread item. It still gives that homemade feel because it is partially homemade, but it also means a little less stress for me.
Don’t you want to enjoy time with friends and family? Me too!
Now, enjoy this Ham & Cheese Quiche and host a brunch with your friends and family.
The spring is definitely a great time for it.

What a beautiful post. With so many pretty, new utensils it makes you feel like you have a new kitchen, doesn’t it? I am excited to see all the pieces at Walmart. AND, your quiche recipe is going to be on my Easter Brunch menu. Thanks!
It sure does! Thanks so much for stopping by!
I love the utensils you’re using. They’re so colorful and look great as serving pieces as well! The quiche looks really yummy. One of my favorite recipes to serve for brunch.
I love them too, thanks!
What a beautiful brunch! I can’t wait to try that quiche.
Thank you! I appreciate you stopping by!
Sorry Kristy but Julia Child had recommendation of cream with eggs in a quiche to make wonderfully creamy and light – I would suggest adding milk and cream or my favorite is actually canned evaporated milk so has a lighter texture. Really makes quiches delicious!
I would agree, I went to check this post when I saw your comment trying to think as to why it wouldn’t have cream in the recipe that was on this post. Turned out that when I updated my site with new recipe ‘cards’, it dropped some of the ingredients off and that was one of them. I’m so glad you commented as I didn’t realize this had happened! I haven’t tried it with canned evaporated milk, but I bet that is good! I’m going to try some recipes with it.
