Last week while I was recovering from a stomach bug, I put my husband on dinner duty. I happened to have just received a copy of Gooseberry Patch Rush Hour Recipes with the perfect recipe for him to make!

Good Ol' Sloppy Joes
Ingredients
- 1 Lb Ground Beef Chuck
- 1/2 Cup Onion Finely Chopped
- 8 oz Can Tomato Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Honey
- 1/4 Tsp Dry Mustard
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
- 1/4 Tsp Pepper
- 4 Hamburger Buns
Instructions
- Brown the meat in the skillet on medium heat and then drain. Once drained add in the onion and cook for 3 minutes stirring in the remaining ingredients. Simmer for another 5 minutes then spoon onto the buns. This serves 4.

I’ve never tried any Gooseberry Patch recipes but if they are all as quick and easy as this sloppy joe one i NEED this book! So many times I wait until the last minute to plan dinner and I need something like this to help me plan meals for those days.

We aren’t a big sloppy joe fan in our house. Wait, I don’t think I’ve ever fed my family that! Ground meet is so expensive these days, I only buy it when I get a super awesome deal.

I love Gooseberry Patch! I have been a customer of theirs for years and have several of their cook books….but not this one! I love how they include little tips in their cook books also!
