This gluten free turkey chili with corn will warm you up through and through. Especially great for these last chilly days of winter. Get it? Chilly!
The weather outside here in Oklahoma has been insanely cold, has it been that way for you? Literally, I just can’t warm up at all!
Normally our cold weather is barely 50 degrees, maybe freezing temps in the morning, but by the afternoon a sweater is just fine. These past few weeks it’s been below zero in the mornings and not even above freezing by the afternoon.
I think I have basically lived on this gluten free turkey chili with corn for weeks!
This chili is full of all of my favorite things and it is so quick and simple to make too. I actually decided to use a Gluten-Free Chili Seasoning Mix for this; however, you can simply use garlic powder and chili powder too.
I picked up a few of those mixes though at the store recently and was anxious to try them.
Along with the chili, we typically serve it with cornbread, which is my preference, or with Fritos. My husband and kids love the Fritos, so that tends to be what we end up with but I’d much rather serve it with a Gluten-Free Cornbread.
I love to make this after school when the kids are doing their homework and it’s just simmering on the stove. It fills the air with a wonderful smell and makes me want to curl up on the couch by the fire.
Sounds cozy, doesn’t it?
This chili can really be mixed and matched based on your preference. We prefer to use chili beans and corn, and then add in a few extras to make it really easy and simple.
I also use ground turkey for it to keep it on the lower calorie side as opposed to ground beef.
Now are you ready for a bowl? It’s time to enjoy this gluten free turkey chili with corn!
Be sure to also add this Texas Roadhouse Chili to your menu too!
Grab a wonderful dutch oven to cook this in! I use this Dutch Oven several times a week.
