Part of my life blood in the mornings, especially before starting my work day, is coffee. One of the most difficult things to do is to find that perfect coffee maker or the best coffee maker for you. In the past I have always used an individual cup coffee maker. Although that is fine when it is just me, I like to have more morning coffee available when family and friends come over. Also, is it just me or does the amount of coffee go up with the amount of kids you have? I have always been a one cup of coffee person, now multiple is required. I also like to enjoy decaf in the evenings to wind down after a long day.
The problem I had is that I have not actually had a coffee maker that brews more than one cup since I was first married. The real truth? The only coffee maker we had that brewed a full pot of coffee was a free gift at a bank for opening up an account. How sad is that?
I parted with it many years ago because it was just not working for me well anymore. After so long being used daily, it was time to let go of that coffee pot. At the time, I also had coffee available in the break room at work, so that’s where I usually would go for coffee. Now, my break room is the kitchen, and I need an unlimited amount of coffee available.
This past week, I picked up this Mr. Coffee® Optimal Brew 10-Cup Coffee maker at Walmart along with Millstone® coffee.
I was immediately won over by the stainless steel carafe and the water filtration system. This was the first time I have seen these in something other than glass in regards to the carafe. I actually really love that they are not glass, the stainless steel does not get hot like glass would on the outside.
Now, the best feature? The timer! I have never been able to set my coffee to brew for me at the exact time I want it brewed. At night before bed, I set it to go off at exactly the time I’ll walk in the door from taking the kids to school. Then, I enjoy my coffee while I start working for the day.
After I brewed a few cups, I realized there is a Pause n’ Serve Feature which means you can pause the brewing to pour a cup of coffee then continue it to finish up brewing.
I served up my first cup of coffee with Millstone® Chocolate Velvet coffee, it actually made our entire house smell like chocolate. It made me want to eat my house, that sounds weird though…but it did.
The coffee has a wonderful rich and velvety taste, it was smooth and perfect for my morning cup of coffee.
This just gets better because guess what? I am GIVING AWAY one of these Mr. Coffee® Optimal Brew 10-Cup Coffee Makers and Millstone® Chocolate Velvet Coffee Packages! Exciting, right?
