After a very long day at work you get home and think…now I have to fix dinner? What do we have to fix? How long is it going to take?
Then, it’s that immediate realization that after dinner comes bath and bed time so where is the family time for the day? Well, there is this AMAZING place in Tulsa called Dinner’s at 6 that is here to help!
Basically, they prepare all the meals you are going to need for either 2 weeks to a month depending on the size of your family for one low cost! These are homemade meals that are frozen so that you can serve them without the prep work. Basically, this cuts out the bulk of your grocery shopping aside from a few staples and your dinner prep time.
What do I mean?
Back when we did our freezer cooking day it took us about 8-12 hours to do 20+ freezer meals. Dinner’s at 6 does all of that work for you, when you pick up your order it’s ready to go with all the instructions on the bag! Fabulous, right?
It is! The cost of the plans vary depending on the servings you would like. We tried out the Cranberry Orange Pork Roast along with the Mexican Skillet Chicken. I have to say considering I cook way more than the average person having a night off was nice! Very nice!
Head over to Dinner’s at 6 to check out the specific menus and pricing. I will say that the servings sizes are exact, so if it says it feeds 3 it is truly 3 portions and these are correct portions. For instance, I have a husband who eats about double the normal ‘portion’ size so for us this fed 2 because of him. That is something you would want to consider when purchasing the package to determine your size.
My favorite plan is the family menu that feeds 6 and is $230 that includes 12 meals. Typically the average grocery spending a month is about $500-600…Wow! So depending on your grocery spending that could save you a ton of money on food, not to mention time!
They are also working on gluten free options as well; however, I was able to pick out some gluten free friendly options when I picked out our meals. Plus, you can place your order online then just drop by and pick it up! How easy is that?
I am sold on this concept as it helps to avoid those full of preservative freezer meals at the store and gives you real, home cooking without the all the prep work!
Are you ready to try this out? Have you already tried Dinners at 6? What do you think?
Dinner’s at 6 is located just off 81st and Garnett on the Northeast corner.
