This week we were able to pick our first tomato. I bought this plant and it had an official name but I just call them baby tomatoes. What can I say, I’m not a gardener.
My husband was so excited about his first tomato he got me out of bed to show me. I won’t lie at the time I did not really share the same excitement. He has become so in love with gardening, I’m really happy he has found a hobby. He even ask for gardening books for Father’s Day. I have never really seen my husband pick up a book that didn’t involve cars and off roading!
We also have a ton of corn coming in! I’m honestly shocked with how quickly it grew and how well it grew. We started it as seeds and our luck with seeds has been pretty slim. I think we planted at the right time this year which really helped.
How are your gardens coming along? Have you been able to pick anything yet?

Hey Kristy,
We have been getting yellow squash, zxucchini, cucumbers, onions, lettuce, & radishes so far. We have some corn that we will pick tomorrow (peaches & cream!). Have several tomatoes that are just about ready to pick, some green beans just about ready. Have okra that has some really small okra on it. so all in all, we are gearing up for a LARGE garden! It’s 50′ x 80′!!
