Get Game Day ready with these Football Sausage Rolls!

It’s almost time for the Big Game, are you ready yet?  I’ve been upping my game on recipe ideas to get ready for our Game Day celebration including these fun Football Sausage Rolls!

football sausage rolls

Tips for Making Football Sausage Rolls:

football sausage rolls

These sausage rolls use a smoked sausage rope, like the one pictured here, and crescent rolls. Then, it’s simple to make the lines of the football with white icing.

These sausages will be cut in half lengthwise. Once they are cut in half lengthwise, then you can cut them again in smaller pieces. This made about 8 sausage rolls with 1 rope, but it will vary a bit depending on how big they are cut.

football sausage rolls

At this point, you will roll out the crescent dough and cut it into long strips, then wrap it around the sausage, and then let them bake in the oven.

Once they are fully cooled, it’s easy to add the football laces to each roll and you have the perfect themed snack for your Game Day table.

Can you make Football Sausage Rolls in the Air Fryer or Ninja Foodi?

These can be made in the Air Fryer or in the Ninja Foodi using the Air Crisp function. The same method would be followed as is with these Air Fryer Pigs in a Blanket.

Once you are ready to cook these sausage rolls, you would cook them at 390*F for 5-8 minutes until the crescent roll is nice and golden brown.

What should you serve Football Sausage Rolls with?

They can be paired with Homemade Ranch Dressing for dipping too.

We like to add these to our game day recipes to give a savory addition to some of those sweet game day treats!

If you enjoy these, you’ll love these Sausage Pepper Rolls too, these add some kick to the sausage rolls.

Enjoy these tasty Football Sausage Rolls!

Get ready to enjoy a great breakfast with Ninja Foodi Baked Pumpkin Oatmeal!

One of my favorite breakfast foods during the fall is Baked Oatmeal.  Of course, I can eat it year-round but my family loves to have Ninja Foodi Baked Pumpkin Oatmeal this time of year.

Since we love it so much, I knew I had to try it in the Ninja Foodi.  This Ninja Foodi Baked Pumpkin Oatmeal is a great one to add to your list of Ninja Foodi Recipes.

Making oatmeal in the Ninja Foodi is very easy using the bake function of the Ninja Foodi.  We did not find a need to do any pressure cooking either, simply bake it and serve. It turned out delicious!  The key here is letting it bake on a low temperature and just the right amount of time so that it does not overcook.

How do you make Ninja Foodi Baked Pumpkin Oatmeal?

Ninja Foodi Baked Pumpkin Oatmeal is made right in the pot of the Ninja Foodi, no special pans are required.  I have tried it in a variety of pans but find that the bottom cooks the best right in the pot of the Ninja Foodi.

Once all the ingredients are mixed together, you simply pour it into the greased pot of the Ninja Foodi.  Then, you will use the lid that comes with it and bake it for 30 minutes at 325 degrees.

It’s that simple!

How should you serve oatmeal baked in the Ninja Foodi?

We find that baked oatmeal is served best with some warm milk.  It can even be cold milk right on top of the warm oatmeal, it cools it down a bit.

The milk softens up the oatmeal and makes it absolutely heart-warming.  My kids LOVE when we start making baked oatmeal again. It always seems to happen around the fall months; however, knowing that I can make it in the Ninja Foodi may make it show up on our breakfast menu more often.

What can I say…you just can’t use the oven in the summer here in Oklahoma it’s just so hot!

Tips for making oatmeal in the Ninja Foodi:

This is best made right in the pot of the Ninja Foodi.  It’s also best to spray the pot with a non-stick cooking spray such as olive oil spray. We also use grapeseed oil too, you need to be sure to use one with a higher smoke point.

It’s actually not advised to use PAM or other similar cooking sprays in an air fryer or the Ninja Foodi because it can damage the coating of the pot and pans with the Ninja Foodi.

Now are you ready to make this great baked oatmeal, it’s time for Ninja Foodi Baked Pumpkin Oatmeal.

Be sure to find more Ninja Foodi related products in my Amazon Store!

Make this EASY Ninja Foodi Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken while you are out for the day!

One of my personal favorites for the slow cooker is BBQ Chicken because it’s literally two ingredients, that’s it!  Of course, you can get more creative and add some extras to it, but I’ve found as long as you have a great sauce, nothing else is needed.

Ninja Foodi Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken

The best part is that this can be made in a traditional slow cooker or your Ninja Foodi

How do you make slow cooker BBQ chicken in the Ninja Foodi?

The Ninja Foodi is an all in one appliance, which means you can easily use the slow cooker function just like you would for a traditional slow cooker.

This will be done using the additional lid that comes with the Ninja Foodi, the nozzle needs to be set to vent and then go ahead and set the Ninja Foodi for the slow cooker mode.

Ninja Foodi Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken

It’s so simple and easy to use.  We’ve ended up leaving ours right on our counter now because I am using it daily, plus I’ve been able to get rid of all my other appliances!

This dish is going to be Ninja Foodi Slow Cooker Pulled Chicken that you can then use for a variety of meals.

How should you serve Ninja Foodi Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken?

Ninja Foodi Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken

  • Loaded Baked Potatoes
  • Sandwiches
  • Subs
  • Salads
  • Wraps
  • Nachos

This pulled chicken can be used for a variety of meals, we prefer baked potatoes but I also love to add it to nachos or sandwiches too.  It’s going to be your choice on how you would like to serve it.  It can also be served as is!

We love to make a bit batch of Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken, then you can freeze the leftovers for future meals as well.

What sauce should you use?

Ninja Foodi Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken

Go with your all-time favorite barbecue sauce because you want that flavor to soak into the chicken.  Our personal preference is Head Country Original BBQ Sauce

They also carry an Apple Habenero that is just out of this world, it’s delicious.  It really isn’t spicy like I thought it would be, but the flavor is wonderful.

Which cut of chicken should you use?

Ninja Foodi Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken

This chicken can be made with either boneless chicken thighs or chicken breast, make sure they are skinless as well.

We typically go with chicken breast on this just to keep it a bit leaner; however, I love the chicken thighs too.

Now, let’s get this meal in the Ninja Foodi, it’s time for Ninja Foodi Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken!

Make an easy, warm soup with this Ninja Foodi Broccoli Cheddar Soup, simple to make gluten-free too!

Broccoli Cheddar Soup happens to be one of my all-time favorites and it’s especially good with a sourdough bread bowl or roll, similar to Panera.

ninja foodi broccoli cheddar soup

Of course, it’s been years since I’ve had sourdough bread since I’m gluten-free but for all of you that can have that…eat up!

I decided to adapt a recipe from Instant Pot that is for Broccoli Cheddar Soup and combine it with a few ingredients similar to the soup served at Panera Bread to make this version of Broccoli Cheddar Soup.

ninja foodi broccoli cheddar soup

I use the Ninja Foodi for this recipe; however, it can be made in the Instant Pot too with the same method.

Ninja Foodi Broccoli Cheddar Soup is a wonderful option to add to your list of Ninja Foodi Soup Recipes.

Tips for Making Ninja Foodi Broccoli Cheddar Soup:

This soup works the best with sharp cheddar cheese. The flavor profile is going to be very subtle, so that garlic adds the flavor along with salt and pepper.

ninja foodi broccoli cheddar soup

This particular recipe also uses shredded carrots which is what you would find in the soup at Panera as well. Along with this, use a pound of broccoli.

It’s important to remember that when pressure cooking, do not pressure cook any of the dairy ingredients. The dairy ingredients will be added right before serving.

ninja foodi broccoli cheddar soup

The broccoli will be nice and soft once the pressure cooking time is over, at this point use a masher to lightly mash the broccoli. This will help create smaller bits of broccoli for the soup.

How do you make this soup gluten-free?

The only swap needed to make this gluten-free is to use gluten-free all-purpose flour.

I use Better Batter All-Purpose Flour; however, any 1:1 gluten-free flour will do.

ninja foodi broccoli cheddar soup

Other than this all other ingredients will be naturally gluten-free. Be sure to use a gluten-free baguette to serve it with if needed as well. Schar brand makes a good baguette that works great with this soup.

Now it’s time to enjoy this Ninja Foodi Cheddar Broccoli Soup!

Make a simple and easy Ninja Foodi Chicken Stir Fry that can be made gluten-free too!

This delicious Ninja Foodi Chicken Stir Fry is an adaption of my Ninja Foodi Honey Garlic Chicken, just a little bit lighter and a few simple swaps.

ninja foodi chicken stir fry

Do you ever just get creative in the kitchen and go with it? That’s how many recipes come about, simply trying a few different variations and adding in a bit of this or that and eventually, you have landed on a tasty recipe.

ninja foodi chicken stir fry

I felt that way when it came to this Ninja Foodi Chicken Stir Fry, which happened to all be inspired by a package of Gluten-Free Ramen Cakes that I picked up at Costco.

ninja foodi chicken stir fry

These noodles can be used to serve the chicken stir fry over; however, you can use any variety you prefer and it can also be substituted for cauliflower rice or Ninja Foodi Rice too.

Tips for Making Ninja Foodi Chicken Stir Fry:

ninja foodi chicken stir fry

This recipe is going to use about 6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs that have been cut into cubes. It can be done with chicken breast; however, chicken thighs tend to hold flavor and be juicer than chicken breast.

Once the chicken is cut, it will first be cooked in the Ninja Foodi or Air Fryer, using the Air Crisp basket and function of the Ninja Foodi.

ninja foodi chicken stir fry

Once the chicken is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of at least 165*F, the frozen stir fry vegetables will be added and an additional 5 minutes of cooking time.

As this is cooking, it’s best to prepare the ingredients for the sauce. This can be fully prepared on the stove in a saucepan; however, I’ve found it’s easiest to simply use the pot of the Ninja Foodi. It’s also less clean up too.

ninja foodi chicken stir fry

When the chicken and the veggies are fully cooked, simply use the mitts to remove the basket of the air fryer and clean the pot out if needed.

Then, move forward with cooking the sauce using the saute function.

I used a honey garlic sauce for this; however, you can use any sauce that you prefer too.

ninja foodi chicken stir fry

When the sauce is warmed up, simply add your chicken and veggies back into the pot and coat it with the sauce. That’s it, then just serve it up!

Can you add breading to the chicken?

If you want more crisp chicken, coat it with cornstarch before cooking the chicken, similar to how the original recipe for Honey Garlic Chicken is made.

This will give a crispy outer coating to the chicken.

How do you make this gluten-free?

This can be made gluten-free with gluten-free soy sauce. This is the only swap you will need, but as always check all ingredients before using.

ninja foodi chicken stir fry

Of course, be sure to pair it with the gluten-free ramen noodles or rice option.

Enjoy this easy Ninja Foodi Chicken Stir Fry!

Total Time: 50 minutes

Make this tasty and easy Ninja Foodi Chicken Stir Fry in minutes in your Ninja Foodi.

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 1-2 lbs Boneless, Skinless Chicken Thighs (Cut into Chunks)
  • 1 12oz Bag of Frozen Stir Fry Vegetables
  • Grapeseed Oil Cooking Spray

Sauce

  • 1/2 Cup Honey
  • 1/2 Cup Soy Sauce or Gluten-Free Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Ketchup
  • 1 Clove Crushed Garlic
  • 1/2 Tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1 Tbsp Cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Begin by placing the chicken into the basket of the Ninja Foodi.
  2. Coat it with grapeseed oil spray and use the Air Crisp function to cook at 390*F for 20-25 minutes, until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches at least 165*F.
  3. Once fully cooked, go ahead and add in the frozen veggies right on top of the chicken.
  4. Use the air crisp function and cook at 390*F for an additional 5 minutes. Mix up the chicken and veggies well so it's well combined.
  5. Once done, using the mitts, carefully remove the chicken and veggies and set them aside.
  6. Turn the function to SAUTE on high on the Ninja Foodi.
  7. Add in the honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, crushed garlic, and ground ginger.
  8. Whisk well to combine and let come to a low boil.
  9. Whisk in cornstarch to thicken.
  10. Let thicken for about 1 minute or so, then add in the chicken and vegetables and coat well with the sauce.
  11. Serve this over your favorite noodles. If gluten-free, we use Lotus Mills Gluten-Free Rice Noodles.

Notes

We serve this over Gluten-Free Rice Noodles, we buy the Lotus Mills brand from Costco.

If you prefer a more crunchy, breaded chicken, coat the chicken with cornstarch before cooking.

If you do not have a Ninja Foodi, this can be done in the Air Fryer, then make the sauce on the stove with a small saucepan. At that point, you'd combine the cooked chicken and veggies in a large pot or bowl with the sauce.

This recipe is adapted from Ninja Foodi Beef Stroganoff. The main difference with these beef tips is that there is no sour cream used versus what is used in the Stroganoff.

What cut of beef should you use for Ninja Foodi Beef Tips?

The best cut of beef for the beef tips is the Sirloin Steak, it is boneless and when cooked it is wonderfully tender.

It really does just melt in your mouth and is not tough or hard to chew. That makes it a family favorite too.

The sirloin will need to be cut into chunks as well for this recipe, it’s small pieces of steak.

Tips for Making Ninja Foodi Beef Tips:

This recipe is very simple to make with pantry-style ingredients. If you choose to make this gluten-free, be sure to use gluten-free all-purpose flour and that the Worchestershire Sauce of choice is also gluten-free.

It is also very important to remember to let the steam naturally release for about 5 minutes before releasing the steam. This allows some of the liquid to go back down before releasing it.

The cornstarch will be added after the cooking time and will help thicken the liquid in the pot to create a gravy. This will need to be whisk in well before serving.

Then it will sit for a few minutes to thicken up.

These Ninja Foodi Beef Tips go quickly in our home, the perfect comfort meal and we almost always serve them over mashed potatoes; however, they work well over rice too.

As we head into fall it’s a great idea to use the Ninja Foodi for these 31 Ninja Foodi Soup, Stew, and Chili Recipes!

It’s almost fall and soup season will soon be here.  I’m so anxious to start making soup and chili regularly again, are you? We tend to not eat chili through the spring and summer, when it’s 110 degrees outside, I just can’t eat chili.  These Ninja Foodi Soup Recipes though will help get you started for the upcoming season!

Instant Pot Lasagna Soup

Did you know that basically all those Instant Pot Recipes that you love can be adapted to the Ninja Foodi?  It’s true!

Can Instant Pot Recipes be adapted to the Ninja Foodi?

YES!  If you have an Instant Pot soup, stew, or chili recipe they will easily adapt to a Ninja Foodi using the pressure cooker lid.  It should be the exact same method of cooking as well.

The only difference here is if you have a Ninja Foodi recipe that uses bake or air fryer, a function the Instant Pot may not have.

In terms of soup, stew, and chili…yes!  Those can definitely be made in the Ninja Foodi.  All the instant pot recipes on my site, I use my Ninja Foodi for those.

How do you convert Instant Pot Recipes to the Ninja Foodi?

In terms of soup, stew, and chili, simply use the pressure cooker function on your Ninja Foodi with the pressure cooker lid and following the instructions as written.

The Ninja Foodi can also be used to saute meat if needed prior to cooking the soup or chili too.

All the recipes you see that use Instant Pot, simply convert those to the pressure cooker.

How do you use the Slow Cooker function on the Ninja Foodi for these Ninja Foodi Soup Recipes?

All the recipes that you see below using the slow cooker, simply use the secondary lid with the Ninja Foodi.  This would be the pressure cooker lid.

Set the seal to ‘vent’ and cook using the slow cooker function.

For more Ninja Foodi Accessories, be sure to visit my store on Amazon!

It will work just the same as a traditional slow cooker or crockpot.

Why choose a Ninja Foodi?

The Ninja Foodi is an ALL IN ONE appliance, that means that it actually can be a pressure cooker, air fryer, slow cooker, and oven basically in one.

It cooks much faster than a traditional oven and is much less mess too.

Ninja Foodi or Instant Pot?

Personally, we prefer not having to get pots and pans out and just cooking it all in one appliance.  Our Ninja Foodi has a spot now permanently on our counter.  If you were to choose between the Ninja Foodi and Instant Pot, I’d be team Ninja Foodi…it will replace all the other appliances.

I’ve also found the slow cooker function works great too, so much so I donated my slow cookers and just use this now.

Now, let’s talk about soup, stew, and chili!  It is almost that season and we’ll be eating soup, stew, and chili regularly.  I always make it in my Ninja Foodi, which happens to be the most efficient way!

Let’s get to these recipes, remember if it’s Instant Pot just convert using your Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker function and lid!

These soups are the perfect soup, stew, and chili recipes to add to your list of Ninja Foodi Recipes!

Get ready for the month ahead with a Monthly Meal Plan!

It’s time to get ready for the month ahead with a monthly meal plan.

Grab the full Menu Plan Archive here for FREE!

Easy Monthly Meal Plan - Month of August

This weekly menu plan is going to help you plan exactly what you need for the week.  That means you will not have to worry about, “What’s for dinner”, questions because you already have it planned.

Menu Planning does not have to be stressful, it’s simply a way to strategize the week with what you have on hand along with what you need to pick up at the store.

Be sure to check out my new YouTube Channel too!

The Menu I will be sharing features a variety of meals from a slow cooker to instant pot and air fryer recipes.  It will also include traditional recipes and grilled recipes as well.  It’s a nice variety.

How do you menu plan?

Easy Monthly Meal Plan - Month of August

There are so many ways you can use the menu plan.  If you prefer to use it as is, then simply plan out every meal with what I have below.  If you want to just simply add some new recipes to your menu each week, that’s what I highly recommend.

It’s always a great idea to just pick at least 1 new recipe each week and add it to your menu.  This allows your family to get some new recipes into the rotation and try some recipes out that you may not have otherwise tried.

I also suggest adding in some leftover nights if you use up leftovers throughout the week or eating out too.  It’s a good idea to plan those nights in or give yourself some room for nights like that so that you do not overbuy at the store.

Easy Monthly Meal Plan - Month of August

Lastly, always plan from what you have in your fridge and freezer already, this way you use what you have and cut down costs on buying things you don’t need.

If you need an Air Fryer Meal Plan, be sure to check out my Air Fryer Menu Plan

What is on the menu plan?
