If you have not noticed by looking at my recipes yet and my wonderful adventure in doughnuts that turned out baked, I try my hardest to maintain healthy recipes.
Other, than those years around middle school where I ate crappy food and lived with the heavier weight, I was brainwashed into healthy food!! Why is this? My mother! She is the director of a Cardiac Rehab program, teaching diet and exercise on a regular basis.
When I was 8 years old my mom decided to make a visual tool for her diet class. The tool? FAT TUBES! Yes, that’s right folks, tubes that are FULL of FAT! These tubes represent the amount of fat that we are putting into our bodies when we eat certain foods.
I thought I would show a visual of a commonly purchased fast food meal, this represents a whopper and onion rings at Burger King, fries are fairly similar as well. This is 60 grams of fat in just this 1 meal! Dietitians say to stay between 30-40 grams of fat a day! That one meal is 2x the average amount to have in 1 day!
As I go out and start chomping down on my burger and fries, this is the mental picture I have in my mind. All those test tubes full of fat headed straight to an undesirable location in my body!
I hope you enjoyed this visual and what I grew up learning about!

Amazing blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option?
There are so many choices out there that I’m totally overwhelmed ..
Any ideas? Appreciate it!
