Here is the hard truth about my family, we hardly ever have fried foods, and I do not even carry regular flour in our house. Why? I hardly cook with it being gluten intolerant. The thing about that is my husband and kids are not gluten intolerant and they happen to love the occasional gluten along with the fried foods!
As I headed out for a girl’s night, I decided to make my boys dreams come true with a little appetizer treat for them. I whipped up a few varieties of Farm Rich Snacks that included Mini Apple Pies, Mozzarella Sticks, Fried Pickles, and Turkey Meatballs. It was a miracle that I was even able to take pictures as they were headed right for the snacks the second they came out of the oven.
I won’t lie either, it was all that I could do not to devour the Fried Pickles. I actually had my first fried pickles just shortly before going gluten free. Bad timing, I know.
My husband continued to go on and on about what great little appetizers these foods make for parties. I have to say, I agree with him there. They were awesome snack and appetizer foods especially for big game day parties too!
This was their little tray of appetizers.
My son loved the cheese sticks and the apple pie bites, and my husband was more than happy to eat one of each!
These cheese sticks came out of the oven perfectly toasty and cheesy. Does it get any better when mommy leaves for the night…and daddy is in charge?
I love that the meatballs are very versatile too, these can also be tossed into spaghetti for a quick meal!
It wasn’t long before our line up was eaten by the troops, and I was out the door. Although having lots of appetizer foods is sort of rare around here, my family LOVED it. It was a nice little treat to mix things up and have a fun night with the kids at home.
Now, if only I could tell him to keep his paws off the Fried Pickles. I’ll just cry my little tears over here, but you go out and get yourself some Farm Rich Snacks to enjoy a quick appetizer night at your house!
Happy Snacking!
