Make a wonderful Easy Wedge Salad, that pairs perfectly with a Grilled Steak!
If you are looking for a crispy salad then this Wedge Salad is a great option. I’ve always seen this served at steakhouses, which is really why I guess I always think of pairing it with steak.
We pair ours with this Garlic Butter Ribeye.
What is a wedge salad made out of?
This is made out of iceberg lettuce as the base and then topped with your favorite ingredients.
If you prefer more nutritious lettuce and greens, then this is not the salad for you! If you like crisp, cold lettuce like iceberg lettuce, then this one is perfect.
Normally, this salad is topped with a Blue Cheese Dressing; however, you can use any that you prefer. In our household, we always go with Ranch. Blue Cheese is not a favorite around here.
How do you cut the lettuce for a wedge salad?
Begin by removing any loose lettuce from the head of lettuce and then cut it in half and then each half again creating fourths.
Tips for Making a Wedge Salad:
This salad literally takes mere minutes to put together. This is a great one using garden-fresh ingredients too such as grape tomatoes and other vegetables.
Another great addition to this salad is these Ninja Foodi Hard Boiled Eggs. I like to keep these on hand for salads throughout the week too.
Then, if you want to add some fresh homemade to your salad, try this Homemade Ranch Dressing.
In terms of cheese on the salad, one that I have grown to love is shaved parmesan. It literally works on ANY type of salad that you could imagine and it’s so flavorful.
It’s time for dinner!
