Do you have an easy go to meal on busy nights or maybe movie nights with the family? For us, our go to meal is a Taco Bar! I love it because if you have family over they can easily build their own taco with all their favorite toppings. My toddler loves this too because it allows him to make choices on what he wants to eat without mommy just putting it on a plate for him.
Typically, in our household every Friday night is a movie night. We usually do a movie with my son before he goes to bed then my husband and I have a date night at home with a movie night.
My husband and I feel it’s very important to have a weekly date night; however, with a toddler at home sometimes it’s hard to have a date night. That’s why since he was born we have always spent one a night a week after he goes to bed having an at home date night. They have since turned into movie nights but luckily there are so many sties now with creative at home dates, they can be made fun even at home!
In saying that, on our date nights we like to make our food a priority but not take a long time to fix because for me I do not want to be stuck in the kitchen when I’m having quality time with my family! I love spending as much time as possible with my husband and son and joining them with the activities they love.
I also love that a taco bar can easily be a nacho bar too! I’m putting this one in Ziplist just so you have your ingredients if you use it for a grocery list; however, it’s basic tacos setup in a bar format. Also be sure and checkout this Homemade Taco Seasoning if you would like to make your own!
