Are you ready for a birthday celebration?
Let me start by saying this…party planning stresses me out! Seriously…stress! Then, you add the latest Pinterest parties and that just adds to my stress, they all look so perfect! I want to throw Pinterest perfect parties, but most of the time I just need something quick and easy! Even though I want quick and easy…I need a lot of fabulous too!
Summers are so busy for us as we have one birthday after another for what seems like all summer long! This year we did something a little different and did a combined birthday for a few of the kids in the family then we had our own little family birthday party for our son too! He was beyond thrilled to have multiple parties, the only problem we ran into was each time he had a party he thought he turned another number! So at this rate he’s going to be going from 4 to 10 pretty fast!
What did I turn to? The latest Dream Party Packs from Hallmark! I cannot even begin to express to you how amazing these party supplies are for your celebration. They can be found at Walmart in a variety of themes. These party supplies include everything you would need to throw your perfect party. I’m not kidding…everything!
The fact they have a dream party pack for Cars was just the icing on the cake for me!
I was able to order our Cars cake in advance, which turned out fabulous. My husband loves the whipped icing so he was just as excited about the cake as my son. It was simple to order over the phone and stop in and pick it up. The cake feeds about 20 people and cost just under $20. Perfect!
Then, we hit the motherload of party supplies! I was able to pick up entire packs of decorations including back drops, table decor, food decor items, party favors, hanging decor, dress up supplies for the kids, plus actual cars for right around $50! What does this mean?
I did this entire party including gifts for our son for less than $100 all at Walmart! There was very little planning necessary and the stress will fall off your shoulders!
As we worked on the setup for our party, we also added some of the transportation related signs to the table too. Luckily, we already had these because they were on the walls in my son’s room. That made the perfect budget friendly addition to our Cars table. On top of that, we did a little ice cream sundae bar with “Rocky Mountain Road” ice cream. Then, for drinks you can do any color of bright juice that will add a burst of color to your table.
Lastly, we added several of our own cars to decorate with. Then, since this was just a small get together, we also bought some more cars at the store to give out to some of the kids coming!
My son is a Cars guru! His entire room is in transportation theme including Cars branded items as well. He can tell you all the charactors and likely knows most of the words to the movie. It’s a memorable movie for us as Cars 2 was the first time we took him to a movie. So, I will forever remember Cars and have an emotional tie to it! Good thing I just happen to love the movie too.
This was definitely a hit and a must do again! Now, I just hope that next year there will be even more dream party packs available at Walmart for our next birthday…like maybe for the new movie Planes? I hope!
The hardest part of the entire party was just keeping him away from everything until our friends arrived! He kept saying “is it time?”…over and over…and over again!
No worries, son…it’s time!

Heya just wanted to give you a brief heads up and
let you know a few of the images aren’t loading properly. I’m not sure why but
I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different web browsers and both show the same outcome.
Hello! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering if
you knew where I could locate a captcha plugin for my comment form?
I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having
difficulty finding one? Thanks a lot!

With havin so much content and articles do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or
copyright infringement? My blog has a lot of completely unique content
I’ve either written myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping it up all over
the web without my permission. Do you know any solutions to help stop content from being ripped off?
I’d truly appreciate it.
