We are heading right along into the Christmas Holiday! That means lots of pie, friends. Lots of pie! In my great great Aunt’s collection she had an old Braum’s brochure with lots of holiday recipes in it. One that looked interesting to me was Egg Nog Pie.
I love Egg Nog! I know it is either a love it or hate it product but I love it! The pie looked so easy to whip up plus even better…it’s no bake! That means, you can easily put it together then let it set in the fridge and you have a pie ready to go the following day. I did make a few adaptions to it, primarily omitting the eggs. I really have a hard time adding eggs to something that really is not cooked, so that went out.
My husband who hates egg nog, he actually loved this too. It can be made in a gluten free pie shell or a gluten filled pie shell. I decided to go simple on this and do a store bought pie shell. My husband really liked the flavor the graham cracker pie shell gave it.
Are you ready for a slice of pie?

Mmmm a no-bake pie?! Count me in… so easy for holiday entertaining! I’m one of those no-eggnog people, but I know a lot of my friends and family are. They would go bonkers over this pie!
I must make this pie! Hubby’s favorite is eggnog this time of year and this would make the best Christmas Eve dessert! Plau, no bake is defintely an extra! Go to mass, come home to god dinner (usually shrimp or crab ro something “fancy”), Dad’s (in)famous hot chocoate, The Night Before… and then sugar plums dancing inside their heads! LOL 😉
Don’t you hate it when you make a typo then don’t notice it until after you publish? Meant to say, “Plus, no bake…” NOT Plau no bake…. 😉
Ha!! You seriously scared me, I thought I made the type in my post. I thought, yes I do hate that especially when you read it 100x. 🙂
I’m a serious eggnog LOVER! But this would be so fun to EAT it…drinking it down makes it go so fast. And then it’s over. In a pie, I could EAT slice after slice!
What kind of pie shell did you use?
I used a graham cracker crust pie shell.
Thank you 🙂
Can I use boozy egg nog in this recipe. I make my own nog every year.
I haven’t tried it with that but I would think you could.
