Get in the spirit of Halloween with these Craveyard Orange Cream Sodas.
My absolute favorite time of year is the fall, I love everything about it from the weather to the food, it’s just wonderful. One thing in particular that I love is making treats for my family for Halloween. I absolutely love taking the kids to fall festivals and trick or treating, although it’s also fun to create a themed night to celebrate Halloween too. One way we do this is by creating these Craveyard Orange Cream Sodas.
Now, a great way to make these sodas is by using the limited edition mini monster cans of 7UP and Canada Dry. They fit perfectly with the Halloween theme, plus they are just the right size for a tasty cream soda. I picked these up at Walmart, they will be available until 10/31, so be sure to grab yours for Halloween and your own Craveyard Orange Cream Soda.
Once you pick up the mini monster cans you can have a little fun with them on Snapchat too!
Scan the ghost icon on the cans by holding your phone (with Snapchat open) over the ghost icon and press the ghost icon on your screen (this does not require a video or picture taken) – this process unlocks the Snapchat geo filter for one hour!
This would be a fun little bonus to getting ready for your party! I typically make these, for the kids, during the day on Halloween. I love to get them excited about going out trick or treating. It’s always nice too when it falls on a weekend, I’m sure their teachers appreciate that too. Once we have our Craveyard Orange Cream Sodas, I will also make Mummy Dogs and a few other Halloween inspired foods for them to eat on the go too. Of course, not only are they great the day of Halloween but also for parties.
If I could pick a time of year to host a party, it’s definitely Halloween, I love all the creative ways to setup a Halloween party, plus the weather is usually perfect this time of year.
Now, to make these Orange Cream Sodas, all you need is orange syrup, 7UP or Canada Dry, and a little half and half. Once I had the base of the soda done, I used cookies to create a tombstone and added those to the whipped cream. That ended up being a wonderful, festive way to add a little Halloween to the drink.
These are kid-friendly, making them great for the whole family. It’s also fun to add a little bit of orange chocolate cream filled cookies to the whipped cream. It gives that ‘dirt’ affect to the graveyard theme as well.
The great thing is that I was able to pick up everything I needed for these drinks along with the colorful straws at Walmart. I can get everything I need there, plus even items for the Mummy Dogs for a low price.
Even if you may not have time to fix the Craveyard Orange Cream Sodas, simply adding the mini monster cans to your Halloween spread will look perfect. They fit right into a Halloween table scape as is!
