I have kids on the brain right now being that it’s Back to School season which means lunches are a big talking point as far as packing lunches for kids. I read this article along with recipes over on Cooking Light this week, 8 Healthy Foods for Kids.
What I really love about the ideas mentioned in this article is many of them are adding ingredients like Flaxseed to pancakes, which most kids will not even realize they are eating! Honestly, I thought I need to do that for my own food too.
Also, some of my son’s beloved favorites are mentioned too like yogurt. I actually have to watch how much yogurt my son eats because he could eat it all day long. It’s great because for him he is fairly picky with fruits and veggies and this is another great way to get some nutrients into my picky eater.
